N	NewtoSalsa NewtoSalsa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not everyone is capable of teaching well and that is the case with the instructor at the Salsa Dance Floor. Comments such as “this is easy” and “it’s not even hard” when teaching someone who is struggling with a dance move are not helpful when they are not followed with a demonstration or clear information on how to correct what you’re doing. Information originally provided was misleading as well. I was told that beginner classes could be taken multiple times until you’re comfortable enough to move forward. It is part of why I signed up however, this is not the case. If you miss a class, classes go from fun to stressful because you are behind and don’t understand the moves you missed from the previous week. I appreciate that this is a small business but if you really want to learn how to salsa, I highly recommend going to a studio with structured classes and instructors who demonstrate and clearly break down moves. Buyer beware.

I've really enjoyed my lessons. If you've learned salsa before you have a bit of un-learning to do first, but in the end you'll be dancing much more naturally! I don't plan to give up salsa lessons anytime soon.

Rocco pays very close attention to me during the lessons and his corrections make a big difference. He also adjusts his speed to my speed. When I was first learning, he was very patient and as I've improved, he's been teaching progressively more challenging patterns. Overall I'm very happy with my experience.

I had no previous dance experience so I found it helpful. We also did a lot of exercises focusing on tension between you and your partner.
