★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uniquely horrifying skeletal creature. Painting it red adds a nice blood-like element. I'm all for leaving halloween decorations up a bit after the 31st, but this is a bit long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting piece of "art". Shame on the city for allowing this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an odd piece to be installed as public art. Being gender specific, how would a boy feel when they see it? At the very least , maybe they can related, hopefully, whatever the message is. And what does it say , when a girl sees it? Why are girls not displayed too? Are they not important? How would a girl related to this? Can't girls be proud too? Or the world is not proud enough to display a piece of public art that celebrates young women.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a brief, covert, comparison of the of the genitals on this thing, I've concluded "proud youth" to be a completely inappropriate name for this work of art.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful and inspiring place to have lunch or a cup of coffee from many stores around the marina. Once you get tired of it, you can either take the skytrain or the Aquabus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably inspired by Gollum from the movie Lord of the Rings. Ugly and horrifying. What is the artist trying to express?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This statue is a masterful work of art, exemplified by the extreme views on it expressed here. Very few pieces elicit these extremes of emotion. Definitely my favourite outdoor piece in Vancouver. I envy the people living behind it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I saw the hog on this thing I smiled ear to ear. My friend and I spent a solid 10 to 20 minutes entranced by this thing over beers. I love the controversy it has brought up… would I want it in my backyard, no! But I enjoyed walking past it pleasantly buzzed after the brewery :)
