Sidney is a wonderful place to visit and The Pier Bistro is a fantastic place to grab a bite. Granted, on this visit we only had fries, yet we enjoyed them wholeheartedly. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the view of the water is unprecedented. If you're in Sidney for any period of time, it's worth the walk to the end of the pier to visit The Pier Bistro. And no, i did not get paid for this endorsement.

I ordered myself the 2 pc halibut and chips. I paid $35 w/ gratuity. It was delicious. It came with 2x4oz battered steaks and a fair portion of chips. I enjoyed it all down to the last morsel. If you get a chance to try this place out, I would recommend you try it out. Service was quick, friendly and overall, welcoming. Thank you for the great dish and service. Bravo

Did take out on the 2 piece cod. Fresh, crispy and not soggy or greasy. The fish was a nice size too. Worth a side trip for a bite to eat

I had seafood chower soup and seafood sandwich tonight as to go, they are sooo good! Which I don't agree too much with is 10% gratuity with be added to takeout. And the lettuce in the salad wasn't been washed. You can see the dirt..

The food here very good. Service is friendly and knew menu items. The portion size for what we had was on the larger side. The batter on fish quite nice. Complimented the fish. Real fries too. My wife really enjoyed her food as well. Fish cakes are amazing as is the seafood chowder. The wine selection is good too. Bought a bottle had a glass and took the rest home. We will definitely return here again.

Beautiful and homely place, so cozy and welcoming! Fish was perfectly battered and SO flavourful and fresh, it was a great first stop after arriving at the airport. Fries were a little weird and soggy but that is the only thing I would say was not on point! Overall, so good! Amazing portion sizes and bang for your buck!

Located right at the end of the Pier. The Bristro has nice view of the water but with limited seating. The food was delicious with good portions. They were out of Cod so I had the Halibut and chips. The clam chowder was very good as well. The service was great.

We were looking for a place to get Sunday lunch during the boat show and this place had the shortest line. We still had to wait but it went very quickly and soon we were seated on the heated patio. Crab cakes and chowder seemed like a good choice and we were not disappointed. Portions were good sized and the view from our table was excellent. We had a front row seat to see local sailboats racing as we lunched! The crab cakes were the best we’ve had in eons and the chowder rivalled my own ;). Also the service was efficient, friendly and fast. We’ll definitely be back.
