About The Original Pancake House
In 1958, Winnipeg entrepreneur Wally Guberman opened The Original Pancake House on Pembina Highway. The restaurant quickly became a popular favourite for family outings, business lunch meetings, student gatherings, and special occasions.
With the success of that first restaurant and armed with a business model built on creating quality food from original recipes, Wally and his brother Monty soon opened other locations around the city. Today you can choose from three locations in Winnipeg, including our newest restaurant on McGillivray Boulevard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's been about 4 years since the last time I ate here and the service is now terrible. We ordered bacon and no sausage, and we got sausages and no bacon. The hot water for tea was lukewarm at best. They brought the tea, and no milk and sugar, that we asked for. When we asked again for milk and sugar, we got honey and creamers. The waffle with fruit showed up with no fruit, and only icing sugar. No maple syrup for the waffles, and no ketchup for the home fries. And the service was extremely slow from beginning to end.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience with Jessie the server and the Manager Jody. We let them know about a nut allergy, the manager came to reassure us the kitchen is aware and the grill was cleaned to take extra precaution! So great of them to pay proper attention. Food was great and service was better

Fluffy, flavourful, and super light. Servers are beyond friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my meal.
