The hour indicated were changed In response to the restrictions mandated on November 27 2020. (As laid out by Government/SaskHealth COVID-19 response team)

The announced Restrictions/Changes to recreational activities, extracurricular sports, & social distancing requirements greatly effect our business. We are projecting the new restrictions will probably reduce our customer volumes and as such we are adjusting hours in a manner that we feel protects our business and our employees in the best possible way. We will continue to monitor changes to COVID-19 measures and will adjust hours accordingly in the future.

In addition to these hour changes; we have also been closely monitoring the results of our recent survey!!! We have had some awesome feedback, exceptional ideas, humbling praise and even some eye opening complaints!!!! All the good, bad & in between data is extremely valuable to us. We hope to roll out some advertising initiatives based on our survey findings.

In the coming weeks, we encourage you to stay tuned to our social media pages. We will keep you informed of new ideas coming to THE OPTIMIST & also shed some light on a few products that customers may not be aware of!!!!

Menu prices are poor to fair, service is intermittently good, but the food is excellent. Environment is clean, up-scale, good view of main Street, washrooms are well-stocked and clean. There's a gentlemen that likes to show face when it's busy, I'm assuming a vested owner and he's very friendly, genuinely cares about his patrons, calls people by names, asks real questions, etc. He gets 5-stars, but he's got quite the collection of passionate but untrained employees. Perhaps if he can hang onto some of this undeveloped talent for a year or two, he would fly true to his goal. All that being said, it's the only licensed restaurant that I could see in town. That alone is worth the visit.

Great little place!, Very clean and well stocked bathrooms, nice modern decor, great view of main street and very friendly and courteous staff. Great thin crust pizza !! Unfortunately I could not sample the draft beer as I was driving but it looked good too! Awesome to see a little place like this in small town Sask!
