This center has so many passionate people supporting it and it was the reason I got help and got me on track to getting my own apartment and stop being homeless. Thank you, you saved my life.

Wonderful clients and some incredible staff but a dreadfully abusive place so work. Upper management has created a very unhealthy work place.

Macdonald Youth Services has so many great services for young people across the Province of Manitoba. I really like that they have a youth shelter at 159 Mayfair Avenue in Winnipeg where teens up to age 18 can stay for the night if they aren't feeling safe at home. They also have a crisis line that kids up to age 18 can call, MYS can and will send out a mobile crisis team to assess the situation in person if needed.

They have a few pretty caring workers here who cares about your safety and yourself. You will feel a bit alone if they don't check up on you but you'll have to approach them if you need to talk. Basically just help yourself, they said. And the rooms are nice, the bed is small yes but it's better than nothing right? Also, there is a 3 day limit and it's like a race to get a room. Always phone first too to see if they have any room. Finally, my experience here was great. I got to do my own thing and not worry about anything negative. I'm so glad that they took me in again when I was desperate to get away from my home. So thank you, MacDonald Youth Services.
