My fiancè and I took our first west coast trip and decided on a night of Italian. We were looking for a place away from the stadium since there was a game that day and we knew it'd be difficult to get a seat in one of those restaurants. I ended up finding this cute Italian place in Davie village and read they make fresh pasta daily. The vibe looked VERY authentic, as if straight from Italy. I was absolutely right and glad we decided on this place. We both ended up bonding with the owner Danilo over our similar backgrounds - I'm Italian and my fiancè being Maltese. He shared with us his story and where he's from, how he started and I'm just so glad he remained successful with this Covid pandemic. His restaurant and vibe and food will allow you to experience an authentic Italian restaurant straight from Italy. He truly wants you to experience an authentic Italian food and restaurant. Nothing is "Americanized". We had to order the antipasti and it was amazing! I ordered the gnocchi and my fiance ordered the prawn pasta. Everything was amazing. We of course had to finish with tiramisu which is the best and most authentic tiramisu I've had. To top it all off, if you've been to Italy, you know the meal is finished with a shot of limoncello. I'm so glad we met you Danilo and we hope to meet you again - in Vancouver or Toronto at Giro d'Italia!

I was incredibly disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. The service was good and the ambiance was good too. However, the starter (bruschetta) was mediocre, the bolognese my boyfriend ordered was under cooked. The waiter claimed it was al dente (which it was NOT) I’ve been to enough Italian restaurants to know what al dente pasta tastes like. The lasagna I ordered (recommended by the waiter) was swimming in oil and a soupy excuse for ground beef and pork ragu. This was supposed to be my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and they pretty much ruined it. I don’t normally leave reviews but I went to this place because so many people said it was an “authentic” italian restaurant

We stayed in Vancouver for a week and this was probably the best meal we had. The pasta carbonara was cooked to perfection. Bruschetta was also delicious and a great way to start the meal. The only downside to our experience was the fact that we were the last people at the restaurant so it felt like we were being rushed put of the place when we arrived. The place is very cozy and has cute lighting and good vibes.

The “Italian” Antipasti for $22 was a disappointment. There were no Italian ingredients, but a rather low quality platter of cheap cheeses and meats: some rubbery havarti jalapeño cheese (the one you can get from larger superstores for cheap) and what appeared to be some kind of Kraft cheese, the prosciutto was fine but the other meats were cheap pepperoni instead of real salami. The prawn pasta didn’t contain any prawns but rather shrimp, and it was supposed to have chili flakes in the sauce but clearly didn’t. I’m just assuming the chef forgot because the pasta sauce tasted like milk with parley swimming around in it - there were no flavors. When I asked about the missing chili, I was told the chef only put “a little in there” but chili flakes in a pasta sauce shows up pretty obviously (as little red flakes) and I would have tasted it (I don’t even eat overly spicy food so I will notice even if just a hint of spice). My partner liked his truffle mushroom ravioli (it was a special on the menu). I tasted a few bites from it, and agree it was tasty. We both felt sick (nausea) later that same evening and the following day, my spouse more than me. We suspected it would have been food poisoning. It’s unfortunate because the location is great, place is really cozy and our waiter was excellent. Also, the spaghetti in my dish was delicious, it’s made in-house and cooked to perfection (Al dente). If only the sauce would have been on the same level. 1 star for the excellent waiter, and 1 star for the homemade pasta. Since we got sick we likely won’t be back anytime soon.

A restaurant full of surprises ?Long story short, this is my experience briefly; - Suggested for an appetizer which "wasn't on the menu" - Half bottle sparkling wine seems to have diff price on the menu but in reality, it's the same as a full bottle's price - The main course is too delicious and undeniable -Now it's dessert time! "Again! It's not on the menu and if you order Tiramisu like us!! You will pay 13$ for a very basic one Conclusion!!! You will pay more than 80$ per person for a very very average restaurant without any ambiance, with the delicious main course and "Not on Menu" items or "Misleading Pricing" which takes you to the final surprising bill? Not recommended at all??

The Italians is a cozy & small Italian restaurant in Davie Village. ✅ According to their website: “We use only fresh pasta and Italian products in respect of the traditional recipes of our grandmothers.” ? They make their own handmade dough to make sure the food tastes more authentic & Italian. ❗️Good-to-knows: 1- Do not order anything that you don’t see in the provided menu. If you are curious, ask the offered item’s price beforehand. (The waiter offered Burrata as appetizer surprisingly not in menu & website for $25, which was not worth it at all) 2- Check the name of wines fully and the bottle size. Menu is unwillingly vague in some items. We ordered Prosecco Brut (Ruffino) 1/2 bottle for $25 & it mentions a full bottle for $29. Why confusion on menu!!!! 3- Desserts were not of high quality and taste. The Tiramisu was so sweet for $13 & Panna Cotta for $12 and a mediocre taste. 4- Disproportionately expensive (Almost $50 each.) ❕Recommendations: ? Tagliatelle al Tartufo has a nice taste of mushroom and garlic. ? Spaghetti alla Carbonara is a regular Carbonara, yet delicious. ? Linguine al Pesto is really tasty for pesto-lovers. ? In general, all types of pasta like spaghetti, tagliatelle, ravioli and lasagne are firmly cooked and enjoyable to eat. ? Enjoy the Pasta, but pay attention to many other things.

The restaurant is a small and cozy place for chill. I ordered a pasta, and the fresh made pasta itself is delicious in terms of texture. However the sauce itself is a little bit too savory for me to finish the whole plate. The dessert tiramisu was okay, a little too sweet for me and the texture is too slimy. The atmosphere there overall was great, waiters were willing to chat when I sat at the bar, just like a decent dining bar.
