However, buying wood from these people or trying to find help near lumber or tools is ridiculous. I've had employees hide from me which I did not like. 2 starts because they have stuff I needed. Would be 1 star if they didn't due to some staff experiences their. Service desk was helpful and enjoyable though. Employee named Myka was very kind and knowledgeable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only go to Home Depot when I need something that isnt readily available anywhere else. I generally know what I am looking for and rarely need assistance, other than perhaps pointing me in the direction of the correct aisle. Today I actually needed assistance, only because it required a piece of equipment that was staff only to use.( needed roller shade cut to length). I asked an associate to page someone to help. I Then watched the "decor department person" walk to the aisle, help someone else, look at me standing with a shade in my hand next to the cutting machine, then walk away.
We then asked a 2nd associate to page someone to help. After 5 minutes we requested help 1 more time. I see the original " decor department" associate who ignored the first time come.back. He tries to tell us to wait a few minutes becuase he needs to talk to a different employee. Thankfully the person who paged him was still there and called him on it and forced him to address us. After all of this, he sees what we wanted and says " You're not going to like this, Im not good this machine".
I rarely get upset in public, or with people doing their jobs to the best of their ability. But after today, I know why Home.Depot has a reputation for awful service. 30 minutes of waiting, being ignored and then leaving without what i needed, even though it was physically in my hand and the equipment to make the custom cut was functioning is too much.
I will not go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were there on Thursday and were going to buy some plywood but needed it cut. The friendly young guy working at the back was happy to help us out. But, as he went to cut, he realized the machine was broken. He apologized and said to call in a day or two to see if it is fixed.
On Saturday, we called and the saw was fixed. We went back to buy the plywood and get it cut. An older guy eventually came along and we asked him to cut the wood for us. He said they don't typically cut for customers(who do they cut for?). We mentioned the other guy was going to. This older guy said that he would make one cut on each piece. We needed two cuts. Why the hassle over two cuts?
I told him to nevermind then, don't do us any favors. Next time we will just go to Lyons as they happily cut wood that you purchase there.
Thanks for your un-helpfulness. The one star is for the young star who was willing to help us on Thursday.

Store is a little untidy but that could be because they are almost always restocking or moving something.
