★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always excellent food and quick service. My favourite sandwiches are the Mechanics Club and Le Baron (have you ever had sweet potato on a sandwich??). Had my first deluxe poutine recently and it was exactly what I wanted. If you're looking for a quick bite, or some cheese curds + fries, I recommend Garage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, amazing people. Went in here for the first time yesterday and the food was absolutely delicious. I'm a celiac and they had some ACTUAL gluten free options which was super awesome!! Dedicated fryer for their fries too, I wasn't sick for once eating somewhere! They also have multiple vegan options as well, if that's the lifestyle you choose for yourself.
I know I'll definitely be back again!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These are the dirtiest poutines I've ever had in my life. The gravy, cheese, and whatever they do to their fries really makes the poutines absolutely blown away in taste. And don't even get me started on their garage mayo, I want that sauce on everything I eat for the rest of my life haha. I've tried the sandwichs a few times and found them very fresh and full of flavor. This is definitely the gem of Port Elgin for take out and everyone needs to try it.
Staff are very friendly and proffesional but there have been times I've come in and it seems a bit uneasy. Possibly due to how busy they get.
I'll definitely continue to order from here, thanks Garage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Garage Sandwich Co. is an accessible, small-ish, eatery on the main strip in Port Elgin. We were drawn to it, because it was open later than some of the other spots in town, items are reasonably priced, and because they have a vegan soup every day.
Once we made our way inside we were delighted to learn that salads are customizeable and they have a very special process for preparing their fries that renders them light and crispy.
The owner is an incredibly nice man who's business is bringing something to Port Elgin that the other restaurants on the main strip can't match. The ingredients are yummy and fresh. The recipes are well thought out and balanced, and the effort and labour that goes into the production of each order is detectable in the assembly of, and taste, of each dish.
We loved the service, we LOVED the vegan soup offerings and look forward to returning to try some of the other menu offerings.
You should know that this location features a small dining room, with very limited seating out front and is more of a service counter in front of a kitchen than a traditional restaurant. If you need a restroom you'll have to waddle over to the nearby Tim Horton's.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Literally the best sandwiches i have ever eaten. they take such great care in putting the things together, always carefully placing ingredients to ensure every bite is perfect. drives me nuts when you go somewhere like subway and they put all the toppings on one side of the bread, that is never an issue at garage sandwich. kind of expensive but the sandwiches are super thick and you never get any gross veggies because everything is super fresh. would absolutely recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small cute place that serves great sandwiches. Extremely light on the stomach, we can choose whatever toppings we want and how much ever big we want to make the sandwiches. They also have few vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. Also, they have a variety of beverages to choose from out of which the orange cream soda was the best we liked?
