★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We only went for the restaurant, so I can't comment on the lodging. The food was very flavourful (we had the creamy tomato bruchetas and the beef bites with pasta), it tasted like home made, very fresh ingredients and was a very hearty meal. The service was really warm, server and chef were very friendly and always making sure we had what we needed. They never rushed us and were very laid back. The portions are huge, so make sure you are hungry! Also, walking the grounds is a fun experience in itself, so it's worth getting there early, or staying a bit after dinner to check out the yard - it's beautiful and full of historic fun facts. It was such an amazing experience and we will definitely be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This really is one or a kind. The owner of this place reminds me of my grandmother. Is it 5 star dining? No, and that's okay! It's great food and a great atmosphere with a fantastic price. My meal was excellent and so was my wife's. It feels good to support this local business and I would recommend it to others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6th time here....this time stayed overnight in the BC caboose...it was an awesome quainte experience....everything was clean and homey....the food was excellent as usual for an outdoor dining experience and the owner even let us have a campfire....would definitely recommend staying overnight

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ginger shrimp and mushroom ragout were so very tasty. Schnitzel as good as anything from Europe. King fish steak in tomato onion sauce a new taste treat . You MUST make a reservation for a new experience in this 1907 Pullman Train car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I stayed overnight in a Caboose! Very clean and comfortable Enjoyed looking at the starry night through the windows of the cars ceiling. Eva is an exceptional cook. Dinner and breakfast made from scratch and love. We definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back.
