We're from the UK visiting family and they took us to this very nice laid back eaterie. Food delicious, good choices of beers and the staff were on the ball. Very good evening had by all.

Nice pub with friendly and courteous staff. Drinks were good I had a local craft pale ale while my wife had a virgin caesar; their caesars (drink) are absolutely delicious! ? My wife and I each had a burger, Chorizo Burger for myself and a John Candy Burger for her each with caesar salad and we're happy with what we ordered ☺ they were fantastic!

Absolutely wonderful experience, delicious cocktails, and food. I was very impressed with both the service and the product. We had dinner here twice, and enjoyed it very much both times.

Great food and friendly staff! The fried brie appy was the perfect size to share, loved that it came with a whole roasted garlic bulb. The bibimbap with cauliflower was fresh, colourful and delicious - I want a whole bottle of that sauce... Tacos also got a thumbs up from my date. Rossland beer on special was great. Finished up with the skillet cookie and ice cream - indulgent without being sickly sweet, perfect end to a fab meal. Will be back next time we're in town!

Our family had a fantastic stay at the Flying steamshovel! We stayed in Room 1 (King room plus double pull-out couch) and it worked perfectly for our family of 4 (kids aged 3 and 5). The view was amazing and there was so much beautiful light! The room was very nicely updated, and there was a coffee maker, coffee (sugar and creamer), glasses, a microwave and a fridge provided. There was also a smart TV in the room, and we were able to connect our IPad to play a Disney show for our kids after a long day of skiing at Red. We had an amazing dinner downstairs at the pub, and the food was delicious. Everyone was welcoming and friendly - an all around great experience! We would highly recommend to others, and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

This was a 5 star evening till the end. We were 2 couples having drinks, appies and dinner. The food was very good, service although slightly overbearing was very good as well. We certainly didn't feel ignored. We paid our bill and tipped generously being very pleased with our evening. We were preparing to leave when a young man approached us and stated that he needed the table and we had to leave in 10 minutes. He was quite short with us and did not offer any other options such as asking if we minded moving to another table. Diplomatic he was not. We asked to speak with the manager and he bluntly said he was the manager and left the table. This could have been handled in a number of different ways that would have left us with a positive experience instead of a bad taste in our mouths. We will surely think twice before returning.

Restaurant: We always enjoy our meals at the Flying Steamshovel. Over the years, the food quality has remained solid (fresh, a step or two above usual pub food), the service always friendly, and the drink selection (local and other craft beer and cocktails) awesome. Overall: recommended and we keep going back! Haven’t stayed at the Inn yet.

What an amazing experience! I sat down at the bar on a Wednesday night after a long day on the town. The wonderful bartender mixed me up my special drink. I sat and drank it next to a patron called Kyle, it was evident he liked to party. An English man from the kitchen whipped me up a scotch egg (on a bed of mustard). There was a very friendly polish server as well as an Italian man. Everyone was looking good and everything was tasting like it should. 10/10 will probably return.
