Wonderful place of worship with neighbors, friends, and family.

Worship services here are family friendly and uplifting. Also this building was the first from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Victoria Island and was built by the local members. Stop by if you're in the area to come and see how it is for yourself :)

This is first official building of the church in Victoria built in 1950s. Members are devoted and dress in suites and dresses (Sunday best). Family congregation meets at 9:30am. YSA (Young Single Adults 18-30yo) meet at 11am. Church is trying to make changes to accepting LGBTQ people, but will not give open/practicing LGBTQ people any rolls in leadership or teaching positions. Nevertheless, an excellent place to learn more about Jesus Christ and his teachings.

I attended and participated here for several years as a member of the YSA branch for young single adults. I met members from many different backgrounds and learned much from hearing about their lives, seeing their examples, and trying to serve them. My experiences here helped me learn more about God’s plan for us and how to follow Him. I’m grateful for this church and for the members who try so hard to follow God and share light with others.

So, I went to this church's Sunday service today, for the first time, wearing my best suit and tie, with my 7 Spirit Animal Eagle feathers in my hair, because I am a Tsimshian healer. I arrived at 9:27am, and walked in through the front doors, and I knew my feathers made me stand out, so some people looked at me, but they never made me feel uncomfortable, in fact, many of them came up to me, with love in their hearts. Several members went to the pulpit and spoke to us about stuff and we sang hymns and rejoiced in our love of Jesus and God. Then we ate bread and had water. I've been to other religious churches and was amazed that they didn't collect any offerings. I guess they get their offerings some other way from its members. Then at 10:30am, we went to school, ha ha ha. One member stood at the chalkboard and went through different scriptures and the class disgust what it means to them. One of the scriptures talked about love, which is something that I share with everyone, and is the best thing I can offer others. Then it was over at 11:30am. Then other Brothers and Sisters came up to me to thank me for coming and they were happy for my comments and thoughts on the scriptures that I shared my thoughts on. All in all, it was a good time, and there are wonderful people their who love to help others, without being owed anything, because their thanks comes from Jesus and God.
