A	Andrei Safta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for a good place to eat in Cobourg, and believe me this is it!!! Everything is home cooked (even the bread). The food was delicious and tasted just like home. Service was fast and friendly. Also very affordable it's arond $30 for 2.

Food was solid - you could taste the care and quality with each dish. Not rushed or made in volume at some of the chain breakfast places in the city. Good portions and one of the better coffees in town. Comparable pricing for what you get. Definitely would come here again! Sidenote: the inside dining area is a bit dated if decor/ambiance is your thing but very clean and functionally comfy. So if you can get over that, come here for a decent meal and friendly service ?

I like to leave some room for improvement... This, my first visit to the buttermilk cafe, was almost perfect. Other than the very slightly dry chicken breasts that both my wife and I enjoyed... There were no other flaws with this visit. The servers were super friendly and helpful even on this day when they claim that they were understaffed. The food was very good especially with the knowledge that most of it is made from scratch in house. The prices are reasonable ...again given that everything is made in house. It took me awhile to finally be able to enjoy this restaurant because of the lines and covid-19... I now understand why people would wait an hour or more. All I can say is... I'll see you in line!

Only negative thing is that I think a drink should be included in the price of their breakfast meals. Increase the price but include a drink. Besides that, everything was delicious. Bread was good, eggs, and the sausages and bacon were also on point. The jam was also quite good, not sure if it's made there or not.
L	Len Habinski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great breakfasts. My wife had Eggs Benedict (yummy sauce) and I had the "Big Breakfast" with eggs, 2 meats, potato and a pancake. Wow! A lot of great food!

Pancakes and french toasts were amazing and food portions were generous. The small complain I had that when we were asked to choose between table syrup or maple syrup, we were not told about the extra charge applied.

I was with a large group of friends and luckily we got the table in no time. Our server was an amazing person and super friendly. She was very organized and obviously loved what she does. The food here is excellent. I have marked it as my favorite and would go again anytime. Big plates of amazing breakfasts and more. I highly recommend the buttermilk cafe.
V	Vinit Dominic on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were on our way to Kingston From Toronto, great place to stop at. Love the food, especially their Granny’s carrot cake. Also the Focaccia was one of the best I’ve had. great staff. There was a bit of waiting but you could give your number and go to the Marina and wait until they give you a call. Totally recommend it!
