★ ★ ★ ★ ★ CHAT (Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto) was a great experience and truly prepared me for university. I had such a grand time that I chose to send my own kids to CHAT. Somehow, sadly, CHAT morphed into TanenbaumCHAT. It is still a really great place to spend the high school years. I just wish they had not sold to the highest bidder, or that donors would not feel the need to name every building, parking spot, and bump on a log after themselves or their family members. Historically, Jews have named their children after family members who have passed, not buildings, but that is changing. Every room, every corridor and window, inch of wall space is named for someone. Enough!! Daynenu! We went to CHAT and wanted to send our children to CHAT. I don't know or care who these Tanenbaums are but I worry about people who need this form of Chavod.
