★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm surprised my review was taken down and I never received an apology for the time the old ladies working here accused me of stealing from this store. I even went to the police and had the officer come down to see the cameras but the staff wouldnt show him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Candy, an employee has accused my sister of stealing from the market.. we asked if they could check the security cameras to verify there accusations, and they refused... As a resident of texada, i am disgusted at such unprofessional behavior from this unfriendly employee. i've been coming here on and off each summer and despite saying thank you everytime, she shrugs it off with "yep" or nothing at all as her kindest response.. if inventory is being stolen, the first people to be checked on surveilence should be the employees as that is a typical scenario, and she or they may be looking for a scape goat. Accusations should not be tolerated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the staff is awesome they had the best butcher always was happy and courteous always was willing to help serve customers and get product in for customers since the butcher has left the meat department is lacking and not kept up the way he always had it meat doesn't look the same or as professional as when he worked there he is missed and store will suffer now that he is no longer working there the manager there needs to learn how to treat her staff and respect them and to actually do some work in the store instead of just standing around and not always have attitude towards customers she can be quite rude

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store was recently voted Friendliest Island Service; suspicious, given how they REALLY treat many of the local people & since the voting box was held in their store for the voting period. Store-owner:Are you aware that the staff-driven witch-hunt for a thief at your store is starting to look like you have an internal theft problem? On June 17, at 12:30 pm, my cheerful, hard-working daughter was latest to be accused of stealing. We were denied police involvement to scrutinize for evidence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only place on the island for fresh produce besides the farmers market (as far as I can tell). Meat selection gets 5 stars for what resources this tiny market has available. You have to get creative if you are looking for specific groceries, they probably won't have it. They have basics plus and super friendly staff! If you need them to order you something they will do there best.
