In 2014, I started my boudoir career in an effort to showcase bodies like mine: fat bodies. I had looked around at the photography industry and realized that if people were photographing fat bodies, they weren’t showing them and to be honest - that kind of pissed me off. So I set out with the mission to disrupt the photography industry and start showing bodies of all shapes and sizes and in 2016 I launched my best selling Confident Curves posing guide which took the industry by storm and that’s when I realized that we didn’t need a new set of poses for fat bodies, we needed a new set of BELIEFS about fat bodies.

Despite photographing 1000s of glorious diverse bodies & stories, my work started to feel very “assembly-line”y and as a result, I became very unfulfilled - I knew my clients needed more than just “pretty” pictures. This was the catalyst I needed to go back to school and become certified in Applied Positive Psychology so I could understand more about the mindset behind body image to further help my clients. Little did I know, this information would help me work through some of my own self limiting beliefs around my boundaries, my self talk, my body, and ultimately, my business.

As a Body Image Educator, I fuse these concepts with my photography experience to provide revolutionary learning opportunities for other creatives (usually the empaths) so they can work on healing their own body and self image issues, thus enabling them to live a life free of diet culture, imposter syndrome, and people pleasing so they can continue to do heart-centered work, authentically empowering their clients.

I also seek to empower as many people as possible through education in the form of writing (The Geode Theory, my blog, and instagram), speaking (Facebook lives, speaking engagements, and podcast), and photography.
