★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not to be confused with the former Museum of Inuit Art, this little-publicized collection offers important, iconic sculpture and other art from northern peoples. Look for a huge hanging work 'Swimming with the Giants' by Tim Pitsiulak in the lobby of the black modernist tower that is situated south of the main TD Centre complex, on Wellington Street West. A mezzanine full of displays gives the viewer an excellent overview of this relatively modern art form. Free to the public.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was so surprised to find this beautifully curated gallery in the middle of the busy, financial district. Some beautiful soapstone and some neat personality pieces as well. A nice break from the daily grind!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is an understated gem. I do not regularly get to see indigenous art on display. The pieces here really tell a story and give a background as to life as an Inuit person while hunting and doing other tasks to survive in the Arctic. Not only that, it helps to remind me that colonization and climate change really disrupted Inuit life. This was my favourite piece there and there are many more to see. Btw it's free so anyone can see the art.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a nice surprise in the middle of the financial district, accessible in the TD building south of Wellington. If you come up through the underground PATH network, you see an understated sign to the gallery located above the ground floor. There are about a dozen display cases showing mostly stone carvings, showcasing different styles of sculpture.
