I recently signed a mortgage with this bank. Once they were sure we were going to sign, they never responded to a request to match a rate that was listed close to our signing date. It would have saved us $300 a year, but I never heard from them again. No biggie, right? Two months later I received a notice in the mail that I still owed them .05 on a line of credit. We all know how much they spent sending me that mail. Now that I have signed, I am chopped liver. Overall a shoddy experience and I look forward to switching banks in 5 years when my mortgage renews.

Giving it one star only because there is no 0. The worst service branch, especially rep Marie-Ann. She only told me what I can't do, and didn't bring any solutions to the table and sent me off. I don't know the rules of the bank, aren't you their to guide customers and help make banking easy and accessible for everyone?

I love the ladies who work at the front tills and the customer service desk workers. They are always kind and patient with me. As a student, they gave me great advice over the years and helped me pay off my credit card and bump my credit score. I have been banking with TD for over 15 years. The only thing I wish they could improve is if the company could offer loyalty deals and promotions. Another improvement would be of the student bank account, to make it so you can make unlimited retransfers like other banks offer. The location it self, I find good. I have had only a few not so great experience but the good out ways the bad for sure :)

The advisor hung up on me after explaining my concern with missing funds. When I called back 4 times no one picked up. Terrible branch terrible bank.

The Saturday manager wouldn't cash a cheque in my account for a friend who just landed in Canada and had postal cheques to cash in order to get set up for work and an apartment. Said it was up to the "managers discretion" to cash double endorsed cheques, and spoke in third person, saying "she (the manager) won't cash it". I have held an account here for years with no negative history and had more than enough funds to cover the cheques for my friend. Then, she left an accusatory note on my account for other branches as a warning!! Luckily, the next branch I visited recognized my value as a long time customer with more than enough funds to cover the cheques and helped us out anyway. This is a ridiculous way to treat a longtime customer, especially considering the bank is not taking a risk in this scenario. I will avoid this branch at all costs in the future, very unhelpful in times of need.

Manager emailed me about half an hour before an appointment to cancel with no explanation. Didn’t even have the courtesy to call to advise and reschedule. I had to call in to reschedule the appointment and they ended up opening a couple of accounts I didn’t even ask for and didn’t open the type of account I actually wanted. There goes one hour of my time and another trip to the bank to get the correct account opened.

So fed up with this branch and TD in general. My brother and I have had to deal with our late Father's banking and investments and after MANY trips over there (hours away for both of us) nothing seems to get accomplished. We've given them every piece of paper they required, signed dozens of documents and every time we feel we've accomplished something, we find out nothing was accomplished. Why do they still have a deceased persons contact info when it should be ours? So that means all correspondence has been going to a random stranger who lives in his old house???? This has been going on since Jan 2021. Every time we call there, it's someone different and as a result we always get told the incorrect information. Once all his affairs are settled we will be moving the remainder of his accounts to another financial institution. He banked with TD for over 30 years.

Incredibly unprofessional and inconsistent level of service, relating to our dad's estate account. We were repeatedly given incorrect information about process, changes to the file we not made and thus we had mail and other correspondence sent to old addresses. Communication was awful in terms of a decent response time and a lack of caring. Were told that even in the middle of a pandemic, with this branch being in the heart of one of the most active areas for COVID we couldn't conduct document signings remotely ... until now, more than a year, thousands of kilometres, hundreds of dollars in gas and time off work later. This is unacceptable for any sort of customer-based business, let alone a legacy corporation such as TD. Would tell anyone with any sort of dealings above a savings account to go to another institution as TD corporate policy and disinterest is as much to blame as incompetence at the branch level. Seriously considering pulling everything we have from TD. I am a third generation customer, who has had family members actually work for TD for decades. Need to do better folks or I'm walking down the street with my money to another bank. The fact that the responses on here are simply an automatic response and not a response to the individual issues is stark testimony to the lack of customer focus they have here at this branch.
