Hiring Tazscapes was one of the best decisions I ever made. Taz is highly creative, professional and honest! The design process was fun, and he was totally responsive to my needs and budget. The entire team was awesome! They were dedicated, hard working and highly professional! In fact, they even helped me with a drainage issue well before spring. I am THRILLED with my backyard and I would hire them again in a nano second. This IS the best landscaping company!!

We built a new house and had Tazscapes design and landscape our yard last fall. Taz and his landscapers, Nick and his crew, did our yard and we couldn’t be happier. They returned this spring to ensure everything was done well, added some trees and changed some Shrubs to enhance the yard. They all were professional, on time, easy to communicate with and problem solved quickly when needed. Very accommodating when we changed our design or added trees. Any issues we had were dealt with immediately. Nick and crew were so knowledgeable, friendly, clean and respectful on site. We would highly recommend this team with any type of Landscaping needs!!

Working with Taz from Tazscapes has been a wonderful and seamless experience from start to finish. Taz started off by doing a consult, seeing our backyard and listening to our ideas. He then put our vision on paper and really made our ideas come true. The design he put together was both practical and beautiful! We contacted Tazscapes about a design and landscape build and received a prompt reply and a visit to our yard to discuss a rough design and budget. Taz was able to answer all of our questions and we moved ahead with him to a final design and itemized budget. We thought we were going to be in a position to move ahead with a landscape build but due to a couple of personal unforeseen circumstances we were unable to move ahead to the build stage. Our backyard underwent a full transformation thank to Taz, Lewis and their fantastic crew of contractors. We couldn’t be more pleased with the end results! Taz is undoubtably the most responsive and punctual contractor that we have ever worked with. He was on time for every appointment we scheduled and always answered our phone or email inquiries so quickly. After an initial consultation and site visit, Taz was quickly able to put together a design that captured our “wish” list and made great use of our small backyard space. He provided us several options to fit in different budget ranges, but left final decisions to us with no pressure. All of the contractors that worked on our site were friendly and professional. We were continually impressed by how clean the worksite was left at the end of the day - much appreciated! We love our new space. Lewis and his team did a great job on the stone patio (we’ve had so many compliments on that stone!). Cole brought visual interest with the beautiful multi-level composite deck and built-in planter box. A huge thanks to Grant for the stunning water feature - it’s perfect for our small space and may have ended up being my favourite part of our space. The design provides us several different spaces to “live in” and enjoy, while keeping things easy and low maintenance with our dogs. We are now proud to entertain in our backyard and spend so much more time enjoying our outdoor space. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Taz and the team to anyone considering a backyard renovation.

My wife and I built our home in the community of Symon’s Gate, in Calgary’s Northwest in 2015, and moved into it in early 2016. Like most new builds, we did not have a lot of yard space to work with and it sat mostly undisturbed for six years while we bided our time, saved our money, and designed meticulously. We wanted something practical that optimized the space we have for entertaining, relaxation, and occasional outdoor exercise. All this with a unique aesthetic that represented our life together. The pandemic and the need for more comfortable outdoor gathering space convinced us that 2021 was our year, but we were still not sold on the landscaping companies we’d received quotes from thus far. That’s when my smart and beautiful wife came across Tazscapes online. Reviews were consistently outstanding, and it was clear through promotional material that Tazscapes offered the level of artistry we were waiting for, so we gave Tazscapes a call. Taz came to our home to get a sense of our property and our vision for it. He presented as competent, professional, and forthright, which gave us confidence in him. He listened to us thoroughly and I could tell he understood what we were after. He asked our budget and while it was within the realm of what he thought it might cost, he was straightforward with us about what we’d pay for what we’re asking. We handed him the Real Property Report and transferred the money necessary to begin the design. About a week later the design was in. While fantastic right out of the gate, we worked with Taz to further personalize it to our wishes, going back and forth on details for a week. Once the design was complete and we were comfortable with the price, we gave him the green light to book us. To our surprise, Taz’s team started a week earlier than scheduled, though due to the pandemic and supply issues, our stone fireplace was backordered for late August. Taz’s Site Foreman, Nick stopped by the day before breaking ground to meet us and check out the yard. While relatively young, Nick has the experience, temperament, and skills to lead his team well. Nick was responsive to all our requests, even when we asked him if we could purchase and plant two additional aspen trees in our front yard, creating another trip for him and probably disrupting his schedule. He seemed as committed to making our outdoor space amazing as Taz was, and he held our confidence throughout. No project of this scope proceeds without some adjustments and additions, and we requested a few additional features, such as a wood border to retain the rundle rock on one side of our home, one additional step paver, one more outdoor light, the additional trees, and others. Neither Taz nor Nick balked at any of our requests. Taz is remarkably responsive to his clients and tends to reply within minutes, despite the number of clients he manages. The whole project went smoothly and by the time the early July heatwave was upon us, we were chillin’ on the patio. We are IN LOVE with the final product. It turned out BETTER than we had hoped, and the process was painless. I’m still working from home with a good view of the yard from my home office. We have a walking path behind our yard, and I’ve had numerous passersby comment on its beauty, ask for Taz’s contact information, and exclaim, “awww, I want one!” Even when I’m inside my house I see heads turn and eyes lock on our yard as people walk by. There’s nothing like it in our neighbourhood. Now, I’ll be both clear and honest. Taz’s services are not cheap. He’s the real deal, he’s in demand, and he has the luxury of being selective with his clients and projects. Therein exists an implied agreement. The client is reasonable, decisive, and pays what and when they’re supposed to. In exchange, Taz will design, coordinate, and deliver an outstanding final product with accountability, professionalism, and an artist’s touch. If you can abide by the implied agreement, then he’s likely the Landscape Pro for you. In sum, we highly recommend Tazscapes for your landscaping needs!

Our experience with Tazscapes was wonderful. We searched online for a landscape designer who matched our aesthetic and found that on Taz's website. After reaching out to him (which was always easy to do), we met for an initial meeting where we discussed ideas we had and he had a chance to see our backyard. This was his opportunity to understand our desires as clients, the space he had to work with, and a general idea of our budget. He showed us photographs of other projects and even took us to a former project that was similar in size and scope. Initially, we asked him to come up with a design and paid him for that. We were very happy with that and so decided to go ahead and hire him to bring that design to life. The entire project went very well and Taz was always available to us to help make decisions and solve problems. The entire crew were excellent to deal with and in their craftsmanship. From start to finish, we were well taken care of and very happy with the final results. I will definitely work with Taz again for future projects and highly recommend Tazscapes to anyone looking for top-notch work.
