We were referred to Tanktech Oil Tank Removal by friends and we're very glad we took their advice and used Tanktech.
My husband and I recently sold our house. Then the buyer had an oil tank scan done and an old tank was found under the addition to our house. Another highly rated tank removal firm told us "this can't be removed" -- they said they couldn't do it, but the folks at Tanktech were very positive. Even though it was a tough job, the whole team was fantastic and our tank was not only removed from under our bedroom, but Tanktech did it quickly and efficiently. We just can't say enough good things about this company. Very well run by Ian and Laura and they have a great crew. Price was very reasonable too, expecially with all the difficulties they were faced with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very professional company. the work was done very fast and we found the price to remove the tank and dispose of it extremely fair for such a large job. After we received the news of no contamination the crew came right back, filled everything in and reseeded the lawn for us. This crew was amazing. Laura was always available to answer any questions we had, great communication, and promptly sent the documentation we needed that the tank had been removed. A big thank you to the entire crew who removed our tank and to Laura who was always available to answer any questions we had. I will recommend Tank Tech to anyone who is thinking of having their tank removed. Great company with great people.

They readily accommodated my schedule and always carefully followed my special requests to protect parts of my garden beside the excavation. Having an oil tank remediated is a stressful experience but Tanktech made it as painless as it possibly could be. I highly recommend this company!

What stood Tanktech apart was 1) they answered the phone on a Sunday night, 2) they were $25 cheaper than the second company's quote that i received the next day. The third company/guy who ended up calling me back seemed drunk on the phone (seriously) so i discounted that one immediately. This is a family run business, they were clear and honest with me from the beginning and there were no surprises. I definitely recommend them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, I’d just like to say that with almost everything I do, I usually go with a company or trade that is recommended by someone else. I was recommended to use TankTech years ago by my step dad who is also a real estate agent. To be completely honest, since contacting them for the first time several years ago, I haven’t needed to contact any other company with regard to oil tank scans and removals since. They always answer the phone and are always pleasant to speak to. They treat you with respect and actually care about their work and clients. Ian and Laura have been very accommodating with timing and of course doing great work over the years. Highly recommend to home owners and realtors. They do good work and are honest and true good people!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tanktech removed a buried and long-abandoned oil tank from our back yard. They responded quickly to our request for an estimate and it was lower than the other company that provided a quote. (A third company never responded). We hired Tanktech to do the removal and they were on site within a few days and had the tank removed remarkably cleanly, and with a minimum of pavement cutting. There was clearly some soil contamination, and after confirmation from the soil tests, we engaged them to remove the necessary soil for remediation. That again was done cleanly and efficiently. All through the process Laura (the office manager) and Ian and the rest of the crew were pleasant and easy to deal with. Another huge plus was that they used a very small backhoe for the work which meant they didn't have to remove a section of fence to get it into our yard, and that our garden was only impacted in the immediate area where the tank was found; surrounding plantings were undisturbed. The environmental consultant (another Laura) they used was also very pleasant to work with and provided us with reassuring information about the soil conditions and the impact those would have on potential remediation. All in all, as smooth a process as one could hope for, after the unpleasant shock of finding an old oil tank in the yard. I have no hesitation in recommending Tanktech.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tanktech recently removed a very old oil tank from beneath the concrete on our pool deck. Their initial quote was done quickly and was very reasonable. Their work was fast and efficient, and they kept us in the loop about the work and the soil testing as they progressed. When they were finished, they did a great job of cleaning up the site.
We had been hesitant for years to have this job done because of the tank being beneath concrete, but it was out in four hours, with no issues at all.
I heartily recommend Tanktech. They did a superior job for us.
