Sweet Queen Family Restaraunt - Nanton

Andy and Nana are the best! The food is always delicious and the service has always been awesome. Best place by far for pizza and burgers in southern Alberta!

Friendly and clean eh An awesome diner feel, loved it. One of those small town eat ‘em up’s where locals all know each other eh Adds to that feel of open comfort. The fries were the way fries are suppose to be! The burger, was perfect! A triple paddy Dad burger. The sauce was just enough, the diced raw onion, perfect cut and amount. The cheese and bacon, again the right amount! He put it together so “every” flavour smacked your mouth with delight! Oh did I mention MacDonalds and Dairy Queen should take lessons in not over doing the vanilla in the milkshakes…? This diner sits at the top of my all around best and favourite stops with Creston BC’s Chippies, and Rocko’s diner in Mission BC. You owe it to set up your trip to eat here in Nanton AB.

I love sweet queen. But I have such a hard time supporting Andy when the delivery driver is absolutely terrible. Always late. Always drives on my grass and shows up in creepy vehicles and my food is freezing cold and smells like cigarettes. I would be able to support more often if I didn’t alway have to go get it because I refuse to support the terrible delivery service.

I have been going to Sweet Queen since I was a kid! My friend's grandparents used to own it. I always make sure to stop there on my way through. Andy, the owner, makes the best gravy for a great poutine and his tomato macaroni soup is hands-down my favorite! Been eating it forever and I can never get enough. He is so kind aswell!! He knows everyone and always chats with me about my job am my fishing. Definitely a place you don't want to miss with good home cooking and you always feel like family!!

First time here, passing through town, not impressed at all with the food or service. We were looking at the menu and they impatiently asked us 3 times when we were going to order. We got a double mom and a dad burger, large tater tots and a milkshake. I asked how big the milkshake was before ordering and instead of showing us the cup, she just told the onces which meant nothing to me. Then they rushed us out the door to wait in the car and said they'd bring everything out because they won't let people dine in when they could. When we got the food the milkshake was about half the size we expected and really runny. She said the strawberry was real fruit but it was clearly a syrup. There was only half a bag of tater tots and we went back in to make sure we got the right size and they said that was the large which to me looked like a small fry size. The burgers looked big but when I bit into mine it was dry and there was a weird blue spot in the hamburger meat that I picked out and the rest of the burger tasted pretty flavorless. We also noticed no tomatoes on the burgers that they were supposed to have so I called them and they said they must have forgot them and to come back for two slices of tomato. But I had to drive back a couple blocks as we already left to go eat in a park. I went back only to get two very small thin slices of tomato. They wouldn't even give us cups of water after spending $20. They wanted to sell us bottles. I would never go back. Amazing little family owned restaurant. Everything I’ve tried has been worth the stop and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming! I love driving through nanton because of this place. Everything is home made. Burgers and clubhouse are our go to. I also always end up drinking the gravy after my meal. ? highly recommend. Call 20 mins before you get here for pickup to have it ready fresh when you arrive!

Loved this place for a family get-together. Great burgers, good milkshakes. Service was so lovely — they were so nice to us. There were books and a few toys for the kids. Good kids menu also. They let us hang out to chat and it was a nice atmosphere — bright mom and pop spot. I would prefer to not have paper plates for reduced waste, that’s the only improvement I’d suggest.

A real gem, possibly best milkshakes I have ever had. Great burgers and Pizza's all for a ver reasonable price. I thought these small town diners had disappeared but apparently not. We all enjoyed this place very much.
