SUCH an awesome little coffee shop/roastery. Delicious fresh roasted beans, amazing ice cream and some stellar food. It's great to see a small nano roastery putting out such good quality. It's on par with some of the best roasters in Vancouver. The staff are amazing and I love the little home made accents all over the shop, such as the fold out tables!

Fantastic place to relax my Sunday afternoon! First time coming to the cafe place, and immediately fell in love with this cozy and clean environment! The staff are very friendly and nice, the cashiers greeted my girlfriend and I as soon as we stepped in the cafe with sunshine smiling, and did not rush us while we are thinking what to order. One of the girls started recommending us what to order by asking questions (and it is great that they don’t make assumptions :) ) The music is at an adequate volume level, and the dessert is great ! I’ll definitely come back again as everything is just “right”~~ LoL.

Today, we tried this place and loved it. We tried their ice cream, coffee, waffle and London fog. The owner is an artist. I was facinated by the furniture and other stuffs he has made out of pipes and wood. P.S. My wife forgot her purse at their place and we didn't even notice untill the owner drove all the way to UBC and dropped it off.

Very nice little establishment. Tried their Hong Kong milk tea and vanilla ice cream, both flavours are rich and creamy. Sweet level is on the lower end so I could easily finish the whole thing without feeling sick. They have many other Japanese flavour ice cream such as red bean, roasted tea, and sesame, would come back again to try.

Still the best coffee program in Kitsilano!! More importantly, a major part of the community. Not only does Michael make us the best fresh, on-site roasted coffee which he expertly crafts into every drink, he is also a friend. When my daughter brought in stickers to sell to raise money for rescuing kittens, Michael didn’t just take her donation jar, he created a whole space for her ? The ice cream is also great, and the menu is seasonal and always updated. Must visit!

Current hobby: Cafe hopping ✨ Anyone else just can’t concentrate at home? ??‍♀️ Woke up. Brush my teeth. Change. Cafe ☕️ Insta: @sweet.barrel Locally owned cafe. On site roasting, brewing and ice cream ? Tried their croissant. Soft and fluffy. Ordered a latte as well. Would definitely go back and try the ice cream!! P.S. I used @getsiply to pay and saved some $$$ ??

I had arrived after the closing hours but the owner was kind enough to let me in. 5 stars just for that. The interior is one of the most quirkiest I have seen. It's a must see! The owner packed up some fresh beans even after closing hours and I also got Hario v60 filters . Decently priced and a must visit for your coffee fix. The owner is very well versed with the roasting techniques and is very helpful. Showed me some amazing new pourover equipment also. Very very satisfied with my visit here and will definitely visit whenever I'm in the Kits Area

This is a nice modern coffee shop in the Arbutus/12th neighborhood. They roast their own coffee beans and they are not shy about it as their roasting machine is right at the front of the shop for everyone to see. The smell of coffee roasting is so wonderful and toasty especially on a cold day. There's a big communal table in the middle of the shop and also a long counter by the window. The shop is quite cozy with warm lighting. It was not too busy late the afternoon so we were able to relax and enjoy our visit. We were able to try the latte and chocolate croissant. The latte had a nice strong kick to it and not very acidic. We were hoping to try a mocha but didn't see it on their menu. The chocolate croissant was indeed quite chocolatey compared to other places. You can buy their roasted coffee beans for $12 a bag. They got quite a bit of beans to choose ranging from decaf to espresso roasts. Oh yes, they also serve ice cream too. We didn't get to try ice cream today as it was too cold, but when it warms up, we will certainly come back to try ice cream.
