★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Sushi Kuni. As a vegetarian in a small town, it can be hard to find delicious takeout that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Sushi Kuni's Veggie Bento box is delicious and generous, and their tempura veggies are to die for. We go as often as we can and recommend it to anyone visiting! Takeout only takes 15 minutes!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Living only a few blocks away we regularly visit for both take out and dine in meals. The food is always fresh and the servers polite. If I were describe this restaurant it would be simple and consistent. By no means award wining presentation or roll options but I have always enjoyed my meals here. At my last visit I learned that there are new owners so I will update this review if anything changes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a ferry to catch in a matter of minutes, and they were the only place open nearby. We told them our situation, they looked at the clock, and said it will be tight but they could do it. And off they went! It was like an Olympic event, them dashing around to put together our order. I was getting nervous, but thankfully, you can actually see the ferry from their restaurant. Not only did they finish our food just in time, but it was delicious! Well done, yum yum!!! And the prices are fair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I never do take the time to write reviews for places but Sushi Kuni has definitely urged me to write one. The sushi was delicious and so fresh, and the atmosphere of the place was cozy and comfortably casual. The family who runs this restaurant can expect me to come very often. The Spider Roll I ordered looked so beautiful and the deep-fried soft shell crab inside tasted great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I placed an order four hours prior to pick up. I was assured order would be ready by 7:15 pm. And wouldn’t you know it wasn’t ready until 7:45! Now if a half an hour of your time isn’t important to you, by all means, patronize this restaurant. But if you’re like me, and think words and details matter, then never order from this restaurant for as long as you live.
The best part of the wait was that the only parking nearby were loading zones. Which means I had to move my car twice while I waited unless I wanted to risk getting a ticket.
Bottom line, this establishment doesn’t do what it says it’s going to do. And that’s reason enough to never patronize it again.
