My husband and I decided to do the comfort measures class once we had made the decision that we weren't going to have a doula with us during the birth. I'm so glad we did because the class taught myself and my husband so many helpful things to prepare us for when labor starts and throughout the birth! My husband got as many opportunities to practice hands on pain relief techniques for me as he needed until he was comfortable, and I got to experiment with different positions and tips to make labor go more smoothly. Jennifer is amazing, sweet and had so much patience for us first time parents, willing to stay and make sure we were confident with what she showed us before leaving. Cant recommend this service enough!! Thank you Jen!

We were so pleased with our experience with Jenn. She was knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of great information and resources in our prenatal education classes. When it came to our delivery we don't know what we would have done without her! She was so supportive, encouraging and again knowledgeable through labour and delivery. I highly recommend her!

It’s hard to find the words to fully express how thankful we are to have had Jenn as our Doula! My husband and I really enjoyed the meetings before hand. We also found the prenatal classes informative, and they enabled us to feel better prepared for what to expect in giving birth! When it came to the actual labour and delivery she was an amazing help! We would have felt lost without her in the midst of managing contractions! My labour ended up being quite long with about 43 hours, and her endurance and care was way above and beyond what we would have expected! She provided pain relief through counter pressure and showed my husband how to assist too! I also really appreciated the Tens machine she owns, and throughout the two days she suggested many different positions to help baby progress down (he was stubborn!). Her kindness, calm presence and servant heart was such a blessing during a long and difficult labour!

Jenn was wonderful! She was very warm and friendly, and helped walk us through all the different aspects of labour, delivery and newborn care in a way that helped us feel much more confident and able to participate effectively in the decisions that are made throughout the birth process.

Jenn was such a comfort and help during labor. This was our first baby and Jenn helped us prepare a birth plan at one of our prenatal visits. Labor came on a lot faster and more intensely than I expected, and it was a relief when Jenn arrived shortly after we called her. She immediately began offering comfort measures - such as knee presses, the TENS unit, and along with my husband they did the double hip squeeze for what must have been hours. Jenn was great at reminding me to do the basics: drink water, eat something, change positions, and use the washroom. She had lots of goodies in her bag - like massage oil, peppermint oil, honey sticks - which she pulled out at various times to use. Having someone experienced constantly present is so helpful because despite what I read and practiced, in the thick of contractions it was hard to recall all the comfort measures available. Both my husband and I felt blessed to have Jenn present, and we would definitely request her help if we have another child. Jenn also took some great photos for me, which was awesome because labor was hazy and looking at the photos helped me to remember some of the details! Thank you Jenn

We've had multiple children and hired a difference doula every time. Jenn was definitely right up at top quality! I will hire again if we have yet another child. This was also our first time doing a home birth and so it was even more crucial to have Jenn there as she helped with cleaning up when it was over and she stayed by my side for anything I needed while the rest of the family was afforded some freedom to phone other relatives, deal with the younger children etc. A couple of things to note in general: 1) whether or not you choose Jenn, a doula is a great person to hire for a labour! 2) This wasn't our first so we chose to be more hands-off leading up to birth, but if you're a first time mom, it's good to chat more so you can learn about all the possibilities of birth (informed consent sometimes can't happen because things move fast, so it's good to sit with someone to discuss this beforehand. I can't speak to Jenn's ability to do this though as we didn't need it but she does seem quite knowledgeable). 3) It was important to us to find someone who was Christian or was ok to pray with us as we have a strong faith (particularly after repeatedly seeing the miracle of childbirth) so that is why we chose Jenn. It's great to know you've got someone on your side even on the days leading up to and following the big day!

We were so thankful to have had Jenn as a support throughout my pregnancy and birthing experience. Being able to do prenatal classes in our home and ask all our questions was amazing. She was knowledgeable and experienced but never pushy. She was an excellent communicator and I felt like she was there for me the entire pregnancy through phone calls, texts or emails. She truly has a gift for making people feel comfortable and heard. I knew she genuinely cared about my little family, and I am so thankful to now think of her as a friend.

Having gone through IVF to try and conceive, my husband and I wanted to look into a birth doula to help us in the delivery room and to educate us on the birthing experience. When we met Jenn, we immediately liked her energy. She's super calm and composed, and thoroughly thinks through any questions you have before answering. She's a big believer in educating you in understanding that ultimately you have the choice. You have the ability to say no, or ask questions. We also took Jenn's birthing classes which were very eye opening! Each class had a certain theme, was discussed, papers handed out and we went through a power point presentation. There were even some props! I highly recommend these classes to all couples about to deliver, as they were informative, taught one on one in the home, and gave us an overall big picture look on interventions, early and active labour, hormones, C-Sections, breast feeding etc. I delivered my daughter on Feb 23rd via emergency C section after 3.5 days of labouring from induction interventions. Jenn stayed with me the entire time, except went home one afternoon to catch up on some sleep early on in the process. Her unwavering support gave me such strength and resilience to keep going. I highly, highly recommend Jenn for any one expecting a child. She is highly skilled and qualified but also such a lovely person. Thank you Jenn!
