this place is the biggest SCAM there is. Don't get fooled by what they tell you and makes sure to read the fine print. I had a monthly membership and the gal at the front told me I could put it on freeze for $5 a month so I did that. She never mentioned that the freeze period actually ended after 3 months, nor did I receive a phone call or email until after I owed $400.00 as my credit card declined the payments. I tried calling them to explain my situation and you actually cannot talk to anyone in the accounting department as they hide behind email. There is not even a phone number available to the staff to contact any of the people working in the accounting department. They would not let me cancel my membership until after I paid off my account ($400.00) and since I totally disagreed I was not going to go pay. They CONTINUED TO CHARGE me month after month after month. I sent email after email to this company. After I paid my credit card off, they immediately charged it again. (I have a very low credit limit on this one). Now I get a letter from their collections agency saying I owe them $850.00. This is after them charging almost $650.00 already to my credit card after I have asked them to cancel my membership. I have never even been treated so poorly by a company. These guys shouldn't even have a business....I am soooo fn upset with this whole situation. $1500 spent on Tanning for 2 months.....bunch of crooks. Don't use this company.

Great staff, love coming here. Have been coming for the past 2 years since I moved into the area. They have great beds and provide a great spray tan. Super happy with everything sunscape has to offer :)

I've been using the services of SunScape off and on for a couple years and I would highly recommend it. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable about their products. Many different levels of tanning beds to choose from as well as a good assortment of tanning lotions. The perfect pick-me-up for a rainy day!

The beds are great but the customer service was a bit disappointing. They recently had a flood making 1 of the beds i paid for unusable for the duration of the month I paid for. I aksed to to receive 50% of my money back as I chose a more expensive package or to have my time extended as I was paying for a service I did not receive. Long story short, the person I was dealing with via e-mail was not kind, nor would they give me their name. I am a strong believer in standing behind your product/business and I feel SunScape did not do this.

Great staff, great product selection & great tan! The women working at the front, Taylor, was well informed and quick to provide insight when deciding which bed would be best for my goal. She helped me understand the packages and benefits of using lotion too. It’s always a pleasant experience! You get what you pay for.

Overall my experience with Sunscape has been okay up until April 3rd 2021. WARNING,ON APRIL 3RD I HAD BEEN PLACED IN A BED THAT HAD NOT BEEN STERILIZED OR CLEANED. Coincidence or not i had ended up getting very ill and having to quarantine. My particular experience with the tanning salon this day was unacceptable and should not be excused with how the situation has been handled. To this day i have called not once, but multiple times to speak with a manager and the business owner however this has seemed nearly impossible to express my concerns for the safety of myself and others during this difficult pandemic. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of concern and customer service. Cleanliness is not excusable and certainly not forgotten in the middle of a covid-19 pandemic. The cleanliness is clearly not a number one concern with port moody Sunscape Tanning. Macey is also one of the employees who will cut you short with her unfavourable behaviour. Destiny,** the manager** simple won't return you call. Fraser Health will be contacted.

Amazing service every time I enter the salon!! I love the girls who work here and every time I attend for my weekly tan, Rachel and Macie ask me how I am and are always telling me the lotions they love and other tips they may have.I especially love how they remember me and ask me how my day is, or ask me about other things we had spoken of my times before. I often go at night so I don't see the manager as much, but she is always extremely kind every so often when I do see her. I love this Sunscape location and it is the only location I will go to as the girls always are so energetic about helping me.

This is by far one of the shadiest businesses I've ever dealt with. I wish I read the reviews before signing a contract just based off my positive experiences with drop in. I signed up for an all access membership in September and only got the promotional price for two months plus one week because I signed up on the 24th of the month and they count that as a whole month. This was not explained to me by the sales agent at the time, she just kept saying it was a pro-rated amount. Pro-rated by definition means to have access to the service before the official start of the contract, so, naturally I thought that on December 1st I would be charged for 3 weeks of promotional pricing plus one week of regular. Wrong! I was charged the full price amount meaning they are using incorrect terminology to deceive customers to start with. Of course had I known, I would have simply waited a week to sign up. I tried to cancel after my second full price payment but the sales agent convinced me it would be cheaper to carry out the contract since I only had two months left and the cancellation fee is $300 (my service package is about $100 per month). I want to cancel because I found out my close relatives have a CANCER GENE and I absolutely cannot tan and have to manage all risks of developing cancer. I tried to email customer service to see if they do medical exemptions and offered to provide documentation and they didn't even so much as respond! I went to hand in a notice to cancel the other day, two days before the end of the month and was told I have to come back on the exact date or the computer system won't allow it and will charge the $300 fee instead. Now I'm getting a message from them saying to cancel at the end of February and the last payment will come out April 1. That's a FIFTH full price payment on TWO months of promotional pricing when the deal was supposed to be three months promotional for four regular price!!!! I will, of course, be cancelling immediately since it makes no difference now but could have saved myself $100 doing it last month. I was honestly just going to fulfill the contract and not complain since it is not necessarily their fault that a medical issue came up, although it would be best business practice to try to accomodate medical disabilities...but now....wow...enough is enough! I've had membership contracts before with Club 16, Fabutan etc and cancellation was a breeze with a fair penalty. This is just predatory and outrageous. Now it adds up how they even stay in business, considering the place is a ghost town no matter what time or day of the week I come in. Seems they are in the scamming business not the tanning business!
