The worst and most incompetent credit union around. Very rude over the phone and cant handle simple banking matters like cashing a paycheck.

I love banking with Sunova. The staff at the branch are absolutely lovely and they go above and beyond to ensure that all of my financial needs are met.

No public bathroom! Not even for customers. On more than one occasion I have had to rush/drive some distance to the bank to complete a transaction that can only be done in person, immediately after work, with no time to answer the call of nature beforehand or on my way. When asked to use their bathroom, I am told "we have no public washrooms" - not even for their CLIENTS. So I have had to leave the premises, get into my car and try and find a bathroom... and then COME BACK to complete the transaction I started/needed to complete in the first place, which are often sit-downs with Sunova financial representatives. Imagine if I was a senior, disabled, with mobility problems and/or suffering from a more serious form of incontinence - none of that other stuff would matter to me if there's no bathroom available when I need it. Every other bank I've been a client of has had a bathroom for me to use; that includes the big banks - like Bank of Montreal and Scotiabank. I've used bathrooms in Safeways, 7-11s, and as a paying customer with a bladder in every other establishment in this city. It wouldn't surprise me if Sunova was violating a city bylaw requiring businesses to have accessible "public" bathrooms where beverages are served for consumption on-premises. Yes, their fees are lower than the big banks in some instances. They have cozy chairs, ergonomic standing teller stations with rubber floor mats, natural light streaming in from above, Keurig coffee/tea station, a fluffy mascot, friendly staff and slogans like "Where Relationships Matter Most". But since they couldn't see their way to make a bathroom available for their "valued guests" - a basic human need - they can't possibly care as much about relationships as they claim. I was pivotal in the decision to use Sunova at the organization I represent, and I regret it every time I walk through the door and/or am forced to answer the call of nature somewhere else. Hey Sunova - there's a reason why that's sometimes called "doing business".
