★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paradise. We took our SUPs, kayaks, and canoe over and spent the afternoon fishing (no luck), picnicking, swimming/jumping off the rocks, and exploring. We had kids ranging from 2-8yrs old. They loved it!
Was a little smokey because of the wildfires, but not enough to effect our fun.
The paddle from Hot Rock (our campsite on the other side of the lake from Mile 2) was about an hour, but only because some of the kids were under their own steam. On the south side there isn't a good place to pull in, but we were easily able to hop onto the rocks and loosely tie the boats to random rocks.
Take food and water, and pack out what you pack in!
