Streetsville Secondary School

In my opinion, this school has a decent location and some good teachers, but there were two terrible teachers who gave the school a bad name: George Adams and Art Dube. First, George (first photo, left) would often lose his temper, lashing out at students by yelling at them -- something he was probably not authorized to do. George may have very well even abused his authority by evaluating students that he yelled at and clearly dislike more harshly than others. George was selfish as a teacher and seemed to care very little about his students, if he cared about them at all. Perhaps George had personal problems, but that was no excuse for him to act as atrociously as he did. An emotional child, he had A LOT of growing up to do. Grow up, George! Second and more importantly, Art Dube (second photo, middle-left) was the worst teacher ever. Art probably played favourites when marking and was therefore dishonest, failing to foster integrity in students. Art seemed like a major jerk and bully, taking "simple pleasure" (as he put it) in tormenting students. Art would take things personally during arguments and yell his opponent down, "Don't argue with me!". Clearly, Art had some major ego issues that really needed working out, the epitome of an egomaniac. Art might read this and pretend not to care when it will make him mega mad... LOL. I wish I knew where Art was now so that he would get a piece of my mind. Heard Art left Streetsville to become principal at another school, and I shudder at thinking of all the abuses in authority he may have very well committed (And still commits?) there. Neither Art nor George ought to have never become teachers in the first place and therefore ought to have been forced to resign (but probably never were). These two terrible teachers were a downright disgrace to the school, education system, and society. Dishonourable mentions go out to Emily McBryan (third photo, middle-right) and Marcel Giraldi (fourth photo, right) were a pretty rude and lousy teachers also. With all four teachers, their teaching methods needed major improvement. Those are my opinion.

This school has some good points. The cafeteria food tastes good, the location is nice, the library is okay and the trophies impressive. That said, it also has some bad points. The budget was low and this made facilities such as textbooks get cut back. Many of the teachers there abused their authority and were unnecessarily rude to students. One such teacher was Mr. Dube. I'm happy Mr. Dube finally got exposed. I wonder if he ever found out what negative things people think of and how they negatively feel about him. Due to the many people who rightfully dislike and even hate him him, he will have no idea who is exposing him. But one thing's for sure, lowlife people like him never improve. They always lurk down below at the bottom of the gutter trash can, it's where they live. 100% the dude is a douche and who needs to get put in his place like no one else. He is so cheap and disgusting, only the most horrible things should happen to him because he sure as hell deserves it.

Its a good school with good teachers like Chalmers and Hubbard and Millar but there is one teacher I have rn names Verghis, she is my math teacher and she doesn't teach very well she also isnt the nicest, she once yelled at my class bc she didn't know how to use her projector and thought the class made it happen. She also isn't the best grader, i got all b+ and a- and she gave me all S's even tho i always participate, she is not the best teacher and i feel bad for anyone else who has or gets her.

This school has a very toxic environment amongst staff mainly because leadership does not support teachers. Not to mention parents and students are given way too much power to undermine teachers’ professional judgement. Many students are given too many options, grades they don’t deserve, and are not expected to grasp the concept of consequences. The reality is these students are too young to discern what’s best for their academic careers. Parents need to have honest conversations about how their kid does NOT have what it takes to become a doctor or lawyer because they are lazy. Students are not prepared for REAL life, thanks to their parents. They are being raised to become mentally weak, and entitled brats. Parents need to stop bullying teachers and get back to disciplining their ill-behaved teenagers. Essentially, this school farms university drop outs.

Ms. Hawthorne and Ms. Wollaston were absolutely fantastic to work with on a moments notice. The opportunity to speak briefly with them and offer guidance to my Daughter may very well have deeply improved her final highschool years. Thank you and have a good week.
