★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered this amazing store online, during the lockdown in the spring of 2020. There were no masks in the stores. I decided to make my own, and here was this store selling mask kits complete with impossible-to-get elastic! Other retailers gouged people. Stitch inhe Ditch sold mask making supplies at wholesale prices, as a service! Despite the overwhelming stress put on sewing supply stores, due to increased demand and an overworked postal system, I got my supplies pretty fast, considering. Thanks to this store, my high-risk friends and acquaintances got hand stitched masks or extra elastic to repair much-used commercial masks bought pre-pandemic. Since then I've made a point of buying from this store whenever possible...and I just got a fabulous sewing machine from them! It came faster than expected, thank you.
The pandemic has been a character test. Stitch in the Ditch passed with flying colours. I can't recommend these people more highly.
Update: After two months with my Ever Sewn Sparrow machine, I wouldn't recommend it for other than the use suggested by this store: as a lightweight second machine you take to quilting conferences.
