★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a loyal Steveston Optical customer for approx. 8 years, where both my wife and I bought all of our glasses & sunglasses from. My loyalty was rewarded this weekend with frustration, disappointment and angry.
1) A conflict in store hours (published online) resulted in me arriving 45 min before they opened, (+ 45 min commute one way). To which Steveston Optical accepted no responsibility for the conflicting info, nor offered any apologies.
2) When speaking with Jerry earlier in the week he suggested I come in on Saturday as he would be there ALL day. This was certainly not case as the store employee told me “Jerry has no set hours” and did not expected him in till sometime in the afternoon.
Steveston Optical completely wasted 3 hours of my Sat morning and really did not seem to care. It’s a shame for what was a good relationship to be undone for such a lack in customer care. However, It seems to be their/the new trend.

I have never seen such a huge selection of beautiful glasses. The owner Jerry and his assistant were the best team ever. Very professional and friendly.
These glasses are my favourite and have had many compliments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of frames and some more interesting ones than the usuals you see in every store too. The service is fantastic, knowledgeable and quick-- I received my single vision glasses in less than a week and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. Located in the heart of Steveston Village, you can stop by before or after lunch it has a great Steveston heritage feel to it. Plus there is an on site eye doctor there Tuesday to Saturday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are great at helping you choose the frames that will not only suit your face but also fit well, esp for my Asian Bridge. The frames are excellent quality as well as fashionable. But you do pay for what you get and I'm glad to say I've got extended health eyewear coverage and they helped with that as well.
A side note, their optometrist noticed a small tear in my retina and referred me to the retina clinic. I was told I was very lucky that the tear was caught so early and repair was easy. Thanks so much!!
