“Step By Step Montessorri was the very first preschool that my husband and I visited and we instantly felt that it was the right place for our son Adam (then 3 years old). Ms. Maria is a strict and consistent but at the same time loving and respectful teacher who puts great effort into her curriculum preparation.
Our son has learned so many new and interesting facts about the world, music composers, life cycle, nature and numbers and letters since he started a year ago. What we really appreciate is that Ms. Maria works with beautiful natural materials, many wooden toys and books and kids play in a totally non-cluttered but "clean, distraction-free and inspiring environment".
This is definitely a preschool for someone who is looking for well structured and "European-style" education provided by a wonderful teacher with 15+ years of experience. Overall we are very happy with our choice and our son thrives.” (Kristyna R., 2017)

“We cannot thank Mrs. Maria enough for the beautiful way she has supported and encouraged our daughter to learn and grow over this last year!!! After searching different schools in the area, I knew right away that this would be a great fit for our daughter.
We started our daughter around the age of 2.5. Mrs. Maria was amazing with her!! She took the extra time and attention needed to make sure our daughter transitioned in a positive way. We feel that Mrs. Maria puts her heart and soul into all she does with the children. Mrs. Maria always strives to ensure the children are happy, cared for and comfortable. She truly has a gift and heart for teaching that is very hard to find. Her passion is reflected in the strong connections she makes with the children and what they learn. The learning does not stop at the classroom either, my daughter has carried it all home with her!
We are so impressed with the level of teaching that Mrs. Maria’s provides to her students. She puts incredible effort into planning her lessons, while also making learning fun and creative. In addition, she keeps excellent communication with the parents about everything that is going on, from the daily check-ins to the monthly newsletters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would highly recommend Mrs. Maria and Step By Step Montessori. Mrs. Maria has a true passion for doing what she does, and it's evident in how much the kids all love her. My daughter attended her school for 2 years, loved going to school and will miss Mrs. Maria terribly as she moves on to kindergarten! Mrs. Maria provided a broad range of topics, mixed play with learning and I was continuously impressed with the advanced curriculum taught and how much my daughter thrived in her school environment. I loved how much my daughter loved to learn and Mrs. Maria nurtured that in her. She will be missed by us parents as well!

It is evident that she has many years of experience teaching children and that she is truly passionate about her work. She is professional, understanding, patient and caring. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Step by Step Montessori is the best preschool we have known with high quality teaching and students received close attentions from the teacher with a low student to teacher ratio. Mrs. Maria is passionate and organized about her teaching. The class materials are well planned ahead with monthly theme, music, culture, literacy and activities the kids will learn about. We love reading newsletters that Mrs. Maria prepared with many pictures and details about the kids’ learning. Her teaching started right away when the kids arrived at the front door. She is strict but patient and caring, very good at working with the kids and also with parents if we have any question or concern. Our son has many opportunities to work on practical skills in the class. His language and social skills have improved since he attended the school. We highly recommended this preschool to everyone.

We were concerned that she was too young, but she was always so excited and happy to go to school. Mrs Maria is so patient, understanding and adapts to each child's needs. I am so thankful we found this school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A big thank you to Maria, the most organized teacher we have ever met, with extensive Montessori teaching experience, and kid love her so much. My son is always happy to tell me the stories he hears from Maria. Another aspect Maria reassures parents is her professionalism, writing monthly letters to parents detailing their child's learning so parents can track their child's progress. In addition, the school facilities are top-notch. The backyard has direct access to the playground and the basement is the kids' dream gym. During the epidemic, Maria took the children's temperature every day to ensure their health. Thank you, Maria, for your hard work. Highly recommended.

When we moved to Calgary we worried that we would have a hard time finding a small preschool community with a low student to teacher ratio. We were so happy to find Mrs. Maria! She truly goes above and beyond parent and child expectations. She fostered our daughter’s love of learning and gave her the structure and skills to thrive in her next bigger school. We were amazed at the level of detail our daughter absorbed and some of the things she could teach us about. Mrs. Maria’s love of learning and sharing that love with her students is clear. We highly recommend Step by Step Montessori with Mrs. Maria and are grateful for our experience there.
