Sam is a nice guy to talk but I am not satisfied with the service he did. I paid $1300 for brake pad and safety certificate + 33$ Fuel cap, still I have issues with brakes which make noise now. He is not able to diagnose tire pressure sensor issue which I paid for. He also does not have time to re-look the issue again and said come next month or go to different mechanic. I won’t recommend anyone to come here for any service. You may feel paying overcharged.

Let me start this off by saying my initial impressions of Sam and Stella Automotive were quite good. He was very professional and a nice person to talk to. I went to Stella to perform an oil change in Sept 2021, and up until now I had no idea anything was out of the ordinary. Today I went to Mr. Lube for my latest oil change as I was in a rush. Low and behold the oil filter housing was torqued so tight they had to use a breaker bar to get it off (if you know anything about oil filters, they usually only need one crank past hand tight)! On top of it the oil itself I don't think was ever changed, it was disgusting! And I was 2,000KM before I was "due" (long story but I have to have oil changes every 6 months or my warranty is voided). I wanted to really like Stella as I was planning to use them for any work as they are an approved provider with my warranty company. This reminded me why I always do my mechanical work myself, you can't trust anyone these days. Luckily, it was the first and last time I will use Stella. REVISED 03/22/22: Thank you for the educational speech regarding process of your oil changes and why oil is dirty. I am well aware of the the reasons the oil would be dirty, but it was not a "normal" dirty, it was definitely not changed. On another note I would bet you the amount of the oil change (almost $200) that there is no way in real life that a oil filter torqued to 25nm would suddenly tighten itself to over 100 ft lbs. Unless of course your referring to a car that may have two different metals on the contact surfaces and for some reason there was excessive corrosion. Both of these (two different metals and corrosion) are not the case on my car. You may be able to pull the blind fold over unsuspecting customers, but I ain't buying the snake oil.

I have been going to Sam for 10 years and he always provides honest, professional service. As someone that does not know a lot about cars I appreciate he takes the time to explain to me what needs to be done why and never price gauges. He is competitively priced and I highly recommend.
