★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They said that I would get 15mb down but I can't even get half that. Most times I can't even watch YouTube I've been asking them to fix it for A few months now they said I live too far away. For $50 a month I thought I would get better customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer has to remember that they pay for subsidized Internet, as set up with the band council. Users in towns pay more for their services ($62 for 6 Mbps DSL, or $50 to 2-3 Mbps on Citywest). To which, we barely get any service at all from either company. Comparable wireless services in that area cost $100 or more per month.
Customers have to understand that wireless services are shared, and the main link is controlled by who-ever owns the fiber connection (Not Starlynx!). At it takes are a few bandwidth hogs to make the experience a negative one for everyone else. ISP's cannot control the mentality of their users, only provide advice.
In short, if you want faster speed, your band council has to agree to jack up their fiber speed. This will help speed up the connection for other users.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My computer which we both agree is about 15 years old finally gave up and only worked in the most basic form. Although it has 2 hard drives it was only able to access one of them. Chris opened the computer up and retrieved the hard drives then once he put the solid state one into a case that I had, he checked the viability of the drive and told me that one part of it was full of errors but the rest of it should still be readable. I purchased a case for the older disk type hard drive and he tested it and said that I should be able to retrieve the information from it as well. He also offered to recycle the old computer. So for the price of a case, I got some expert advice and service that allowed me to recover almost all the pictures, etc from the old hard drives. Thanks to StarLynx I still have all my data.
