★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there once. Food taste like home. Very comforting reminds me of my grandmother food. Loved it. Had Baron of beef. Did not even need the au jus. Sandwich was amazing on it own. Best sandwich ever. Only flaw is that I do not live close enough to get to it everyday. But it is the best sandwich you will ever have. You be crazy to think you can find better. You won't.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I work next door to this deli, so I know that Joe Starke and his family are some of the hardest working Canadians in the area. Their grandfather brought German traditions to the area many years ago.
Yolanda's seasonal Cream of Mushroom soup is incredible and I get it whenever I can.
The sandwiches are bolstered by fresh buns made daily by Sidney Bakery and the many meats that are prepared in house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service can be a bit slow when busy, so if you're in a rush trying to catch a ferry not the best place to choose. But if you're not in a rush, or the place is empty, fabulous food, reasonable prices, and the smoked bacon is second to none. A must stop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Peter Mayle's book, A Year In Provence, he describes learning to follow the truck drivers and pull into the places they stopped at for the best food in France. I feel like that's what I've found here.
Google said they were closed on days they were in fact open. Just call them to be sure.
