June 2015 Starlite Cleaners in Sidney RUINED $250 floater jacket. This jacket was taken to Starlite Cleaners in Sidney to have the sleeves cleaned. The jacket was clean otherwise. "No problem. We clean these all the time for BC Ferries", the lady said. At the time of pickup, the customer immediately noticed some large stains and several marks covering about 1/3 of the jacket that were not there before. When the customer commented that the jacket was now ruined, the male employee rudely said that it must have been like that when it came in, and requested payment for the 'cleaning'. The customer disagreed with this and refused to pay for the 'cleaning'. The employee actually showed the customer another person's jacket that had the same staining, as if to show that this is normal. That other person's jacket (an expensive looking hot-rod type jacket) was ruined as well. The employee continued to argue with the customer and after some time and difficulty, the customer was able to leave with the jacket and did not pay for the cleaning. The jacket was then taken to another cleaning company for their opinion on what happened. This company said that the jacket had actually been DRY CLEANED. The label on the jacket says that it should be hand-washed, not dry cleaned. The dry-cleaning process somehow broke down the glue and components inside the jacket. You would think a company like Starlite Cleaners (who cleans these all the time for BC Ferries) would know this! I know that people make mistakes, but the way that this was handled by Starlite Cleaners was rude and extremely unprofessional. In fact, when the customer went to collect the jacket he had to wait while the employee finished arguing with another customer over the phone! VERY POOR customer service.

Took in an oil skin jacket that had a LOT of mould on it and in my opinion was probably impossible to clean. I think these guys considered it a challenege because they spend 4 weeks on it and never gave up. They tried different products and techniques until they returned the jacket to me in pristine condition. I was absolutely shocked to see the end result and even more to discover they only wanted $40 for all their work. If you take your clothes anywhere else you are crazy! Thank you gentleman. You've got a customer for life.

Star Lite went above and beyond! We had some construction at our house and the contractors made a mess of my linen closet and curtains. Not only did Star Lite return my sheets, towels and curtains in superb clean condition they went above and beyond to get us our things back ASAP knowing we would be without them until they were done. They are fantastic! Great customer service and unlike other places they do the work themselves they are not just a drop off service. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing high quality dry cleaning with great service!

While on vacation my husband needed his wool lumber jacket cleaned with only a few days left in the holiday. They agreed to have it ready for him in a few days prior to our flight but actually hurried and got it done much earlier so he was able to wear it while on the island. We appreciated it so much. The service was friendly professional and amazing.
