Mats that Prevent Falls
Patients are able to get in and out of bed in Unit 2A much safer due to new bedside safety mats designed to prevent falls. The mats, which were made possible through a Volunteer Association/Health Sciences Foundation Family CARE grant, have beveled edges for easy patient transfers from wheelchairs and lifts, and non-slip surfaces and padding underneath.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was called to an appointment with Dr. Reideger on the 16th of March, after an X-Ray I had with Diagnostic X-Ray. When I got there, the doctor said he didn't do hips any more and they can't get X-Rays from Diagnostic X-Rays, but what do I feel? Do I need a hip replacement. Wouldn't one have to compare the X-Ray from 2015 to February of this year? He said to call when I feel the need for one and he would connect me to a colleague of his who does hips. It was a total waste of my time. When I was in Admitting, I was asked if I would mind doing a review and they would email me one. I haven't received it yet.
