About St. Paul Visual Arts Centre
We are a not-for-profit organization run by a fun group of dedicated volunteers, the St. Paul Visual Arts Committee! The St. Paul Visual Arts Centre (S.P.V.A.C.) is known by a few names. It is affectionately known as the “The VAC” or “The Centre”.
It was founded by a group of potters, painters, weavers and photographers back in 1977 and has housed many different kinds of visual arts over the years. There is a pottery studio downstairs and a combination gallery and working art & glass fusion studio upstairs.
It is a building that began its life as a school, then a County office, until it was moved to its current location on the Recreation Grounds, nestled between the Aquatic Centre and the St. Paul Golf Course. It was then converted into the creative space it is today! The Centre is a gathering space “Where Creative Minds Meet”
