St. Martin’s Anglican Church - Calgary

St. Martin’s is an Anglican Church that embraces both the best of our tradition and new ways to worship as community.   We offer spiritually nourishing liturgy that opens us up to relationship with the Holy.   Our worship is sacramental and liturgical, embracing the celebration of Holy Communion, Holy Baptism, and the other rites of the Church (Reconciliation, Confirmation, Marriage, etc.).  In addition to worship, we gather for prayer, study, community and service to others.  We ask questions and we explore our faith with openness, candor and freedom.  Faith is a journey, and we seek to travel together compassionately, respectfully and joyfully.  Our mission is the Good News of Jesus Christ; our work is the building of the Kingdom of God;,and our hope is peace and love made manifest in our lives and in the world.

At the beginning of 2020, we purchased a unique building in the community of Paterson Heights. After extensive renovations, we now have a beautiful new home which offers  open, flexible, accessible space which we hope a wide variety of groups will actively use throughout the week. 

Our mission and vision reflect the values, culture, and ambition of St. Martin’s as a faith community:

 Mission: We are a caring, inclusive, and open Anglican community, welcoming all to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. We support each other in the events of life and share God’s love with the greater community in which we serve.
Vision: To grow as a vibrant, welcoming community of Christian faith in west Calgary.

Membership:  To become a member, simply worship with us regularly!  Membership in our parish means being a part of our life and in time finding the areas of ministry and service that are right for you.  We expect all those who consider themselves part of our community and who are able to do so to make regular financial contributions to support the parish and its mission.

Membership in the Church understood as the Body of Christ is marked by receiving the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. This is our response to the deep question:  “To Whom do You Belong?”  We belong to Jesus Christ.
