★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give less stars I would. I attended this school from kindergarten to grade six; I’m now graduating high school, but I still remember the trauma I went through.
I remember the principal calling all the older students Into the gym and /screaming/ that we were useless and calling us the r slur. I remember the horrific bullying that staff did nothing about despite repeated warnings.
I remember the bullying from teachers, too; being ostracized and pulled in front of the class to be yelled at over things as simple as reading in class or talking with friends. I was a little boy with autism, and even the adults who were meant to keep me safe were monsters in my eyes.
I’d hoped my issues were at the very minimum isolated; after reconnecting with other former students I’ve since learnt that’s not at all the case.
I’m so far from the only student to have gone through that horrific treatment there; it’s a widespread issue.
There’s better options for your child’s education and mental health. Consider sending them somewhere else. Additionally, one of the sixth grade teachers openly supported arranged marriage.
