β β β β β My Husband Reinhard and I came to St. John's by sheer coincidence shortly after the departure of the Rebels. Father Michael Fuller was an Angel and then When He left and Father John Stephens arrived the Congregation began a steady, exciting move forward and never looked back. St. John's Shaughnessy is a Blessing to the area and many who are coming to Church for the first time. (The Sunday School is a Joy) Blessings.

β β β β β Immediately following a nasty split (beyond the scope of this review, but suffice to say both sides were unfortunately not innocent), the church felt empty and wounded. But that's changed.
St. John's is housed in a gorgeous building. The congregation, while small compared to some mega churches, is friendly and home to a mix of ages from kids to the elderly. It's nice to visit or to be part of a place where you can actually get to know everyone. It's a place where you can come as you are to hear thoughtful homilies and be part of a welcoming community. I highly recommend it!

β β β β β St. John's is a place where everyone can celebrate their spirituality, feel included and welcomed. From the moment you step inside the church a sense of peace embraces you. Father John Stephens is a truly wonderful minister who deeply cares for the existing congregation and community surrounding the church--a huge part of why everyone should experience St. John's! The music of the organ and voices of the choir are both beautiful and enchanting. The church's new addition of a labyrinth in the short months to come will provide a peaceful, contemplative prayer, meditation spiritual, walking journey for all to partake in.

β β β β β The beautiful, mostly empty, building is a testimony to the faithful vibrancy of its former occupants (you can find them flourishing nearby). The community currently housed in the church building is dwindling just like their denomination.
