Awful experiences here. I went here in 2002 and I was met with open racism and discrimation that was never dealt with appropriately. I was openly bullied and the supervisors who were there to help brushed me off because I reported my things being stolen and being bullied too often that they labeled me as a notorious liar and trouble child. Little did they know that eventually I gave up on their "adults" to handle situations and handled them myself and almost got myself expelled. I even FOUND the girls stealing my things and they still did not believe me. Id point out pencils, stationary and even artwork that got stolen and had WHITEOUT painted over my name and they just brushed it off saying I had no evidence. Which was ridiculous. Why would the names be carved out and erased if they did not belong to the student? They saw me working on projects and would still not believe a word I said when another girl somehow got her hands on it and claimed it as her own. I hardly believe that the teachers here got better. They were ignorant and rude and I lost so much money constantly replacing my school items after being stolen. I've never felt so completely disrespected by students and teachers until I look back at this time. I had my dignity taken away at a young age and I'd like to let the operators of this school know that you guys ruined my school experience and left me completely jaded. Trust your students when they come to you for a consistent problem. If you aren't helping then who are they supposed to go to? My family tried their best to approach you as well but when they voiced exactly what I said you brushed them off and gave open racism to their concerns. I will never forget my experiences here and now that I have an opportunity to say it, St. James and St. Anns is an awful Elementary School in my honest opinion. Don't let your child come here, especially an Canadian immigrant, unless you want them to be met with complete disregard and discrimination.

Super great teachers. Friendly support staff. A great place where the classrooms are very well organized and small. They could improve a few things starting with a bigger playground structure.
