Architecturally, I really like this church. The stained glass of Christ's crucifixion is really beautiful. The church tower adds a sense of uniqueness to this A-Frame church. This church was also the inspiration of St. Dunstan's in Fredericton.

Beautiful church, welcoming people, and an awesome priest (Father Andrew) that is really relatable and has a way with speaking and getting through to people of all ages ?

Father Andrew always includes something in his speeches that I need to hear. He is very relatable to even the young members of the congregation.

My mother worked as the secretary at St. Eugene’s Church for over 35 years. She worked five days a week and then would volunteer Saturdays and Sundays to count the collection money. She would make sandwiches for hungry people who came to the Rectory for help. She would make meals for the priests when the Housekeeper was on holiday. When times were tough she would pay the Church’s utility bills out of her own pocket and never take the money back. To say that she was dedicated to her job would be an understatement but she also loved her life there. The people she worked with were like her family and over the years they would celebrate their birthdays and the holidays together. That all changed towards the end of her time there. Early symptoms of Dementia coupled with conflict caused by a new co-worker (you know who you are) caused my mother a great amount of stress. The job she once loved became time she would dread. After her retirement she even stopped attending Church services which was shocking to me as she never missed a Sunday unless she was very sick. I have turned the other cheek for many years now but every time I visit her in the Nursing Home I am reminded of the very Un-Christian like way that she was treated which led to her feeling pushed out. Not once since she left has anyone from the Parish ever called to see how she was doing. When my father died from cancer not once did anyone ever check in to see that she was okay. I can’t comment on all of the current staff at St Eugene’s, many of whom never knew my Mom but to all of the hypocrites that abandoned her, you should be ashamed.
