★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful event raising funds for the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre. How can you put a smile on a person face but by serving all you can eat perogies served with sour cream, dill & coleslaw. Made this Ukrainian gal happy to say the least.
The line up was a long train of people but the wait was worth it at the end walking to their seats with a plate of perogies. I arrived after work to meet up with friends and scored my plate of delight from a lady who walking around handling out plates of perogies. ?
They kept the children entertained & they could draw on huge sheet of paper on the wall.
Fun was had by all with the silent auction & 50/50 draw.
The excitement started to build when people started to bid on donated cakes & pies. The auctioneer did an amazing job. There were some very talented people.
All proceeds went to the centre. There were volunteers of all ages on had to make things run smoothly.
Thank-you for a wonderful evening. Looking forward to next year.
