About Springers Gymnastics
Our coaching staff have all received training through the Gymnastics Canada Coaches Foundations Program. The Gymnastics Foundations Course provides coaches with 20 hours of instruction on the science of movement and focuses on teaching coaches the fundamentals of gymnastics while developing fitness abilities and having FUN! Cooperation games are incorporated into warm-up and cool down to improve physical literacy and social skill development.
Our coaching staff have all been trainied in First Aid/CPR C through the Red Cross and have completed the Respect in Sport online modules.
In order to provide quality programming, we try to maintain a low coach to athlete ratio. In order to do this, our club runs a Coach-In-Training program, where we assign junior coaches to assist each class. Our junior coaches are crucial to our recreational program and it's our hope that they will continue to provide leadership and positive role modeling as they move through the NCCP Coaching Programs.
Should you have any questions or concerns for coaches, please do not hestitate to ask. We would ask that you speak to your child's coach either before or after your child's class.
