Lynn, the owner, is an amazing soul! Me and my wife find great joy shopping at Spirit of the Earth. There is an abundant selection of natural and tumbled crystals, books, and jewellery. I highly recommend stopping in here if you’re visiting Canmore!

I was very excited to visit this store, though was soon extremely disappointed. Some crystals are overpriced and the place is littered with blatant appropriation of indigenous cultures. I would not recommend supporting this business.

This is a wonderful store full of spiritual healing. Kimberley did a great job welcoming me and helped me to find all the gems I was after. This store has so much treasure im sure i will go back someday. Thanks Spirit of the Earth.

Phenomenally uncomfortable environment- BIPOC humans may be especially uncomfortable here. Store energy is cold, oppressive, and the cultural appropriation is disgustingly rampant. Difficult to find local Canadian products if any, and the Indigenous cultural appropriation makes you shudder. Products are overpriced beyond belief- mineral quality isn't enough for a geologist to get excited over. Fossils are the usual imported types: simple and overpriced. Sage bundles were expensive and likely imported. As an anthropologist I was disgusted to be walking on Indigenous and First People's Land inside a shop selling imported, fake, and appropriated medicine and dreamcatchers. That alone will create poor energy. I know from experience it is never difficult to find local makers to collaborate with to produce genuine, quality, and safe medicine in Alberta. I watched five different groups of people poke their heads in the shop, walk around, and leave without buying before we went in. We walked in excited and bubbly, were ignored by the owner, and the first thing you see are all the signs over ANYTHING interesting that you might want to spend money on saying something like, "pretty to look at, lovely to hold, but if you break it we mark it as sold." The second you stretch an arm out to even look at a lower quality crystal, she stares at you over her paperwork watching you like a hawk. Still no greeting, so I waved and smiled, and she just flapped the papers on the desk and continued "reading" them. We walked around the entire store, I was looking for something unique, or a special trinket, or a new item for my home. Nothing was unique enough within my tastes to justify the price, and I wouldn't trust any medicine purchased from this store. Most other items that you don't necessarily need to hold in your hand before purchasing (books, cards, art, display items) can be ordered on Amazon, or many other spiritual shops that are not culturally appropriated. Hopefully this business evolves.

She’s a genuine soul, who loves her work and let’s that show. She welcomes you with open arms, her heart is gold and such a rarity nowadays. A familiar light in a dark uncertain world. A trusted soul….one I met before I even walked through those doors. Such an incredible feeling when souls find one another again.
