Amazing place for frames. Selection of high end frames is really good and the store has a really cool, trendy atmosphere. Max did an amazing job helping me find the right kind of particular glasses that I was wanting. Jason was awesome at creating the perfect fit with adjusting my frames. Very impressed by their selection and service. Customer for life now.

Spex by Ryan is my favourite local business in Regina! The staff is always welcoming, and they are very accommodating! I have done everything from buying new frames, getting new lenses in old frames, and converting frames from clear lens to sunglasses! I think I now have 8 Spex by Ryan frames in my collection because the staff is amazing at picking frames based on your style and personality, within your budget! Spex is a staple in Regina, and they’ve now opened a second location in Saskatoon! ?

Today I am officially a Spex By Ryan fan for life! I went in this morning to get a new pair of glasses. Ryan and Tanita were amazing at providing excellent choices of glasses for me and my big head. We found not one, but two pairs of glasses that are amazing and I'm already in love with! Plus they gave amazing feedback regarding different glasses!

Got my glasses and sunglasses from here about 5 years ago and they are still going strong. They are MATSUDA M3028 and M3008. At this point, these have more than recovered their initial investment which is what it was. An investment. I considered how often I wear my glasses and how they may as well be a part of my face as much as my nose is. I also considered that if you spend the time and money to get eyewear that sings, it becomes an iconic part of who you are. As an example of what I mean, consider Edna Mode from the Incredibles moves. If you had to sketch her I imagine her eyewear would be in the top 3 things you would include. In conclusion, much like tires, mattresses, and shoes if you wear glasses more than once a month it is well worth your time and money to get a pair that will last and be quintessentially "you". Spex By Ryan: making childhood dreams come true. I have had a glasses obsession for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned over 100 pairs. My prescription changes often, and each time it did, I’d be in a new frame. This is to say, I’ve dealt with every optician known to man and then some. Ryan’s outshines them all. As a young kid, I was in an opticians with my parents. On the shelf lived a Theo frame, purple, with what looked like massively hairy eyebrows coming off of it. I wanted it. No, I needed it. But my ‘rents had more common sense than I and decided to not give a child frames of that price. Wise. Then and there I knew that when I was older and in a position to purchase such a thing, I’d be buying a Theo. Patience is a virtue. Years ticked on and my eyes had nary a Theo within reach. The dream did not disappear. I was GOING to own that Theo if it was the last thing I did. Times waxed and waned, I visited Ryan for the first time in 2018. I left not with a Theo, but a fun Rapp number. I kicked myself at that time for not going for the more fun frames, but professional life at the time called against that. between the you-know-what virus and myself being out of the country on my last optical purchase, I wasn’t able to see Ryan again until this year. Beholden to my own childhood dreams I went in with one requirement, I wanted a Theo frame, and I wanted it red and obnoxious. I actually have two prescriptions, and at my age, one is a bifocal. Ryan spent two hours with me, finding the frames that worked both with a difficult prescription, and that as an adult; I’m Edna Mode sized. While most opticians would slither away, Ryan happily took on this task, with Max and Tanita swinging by to chat. People, at Spex By Ryan my dreams came true with a Theo, 17 years after I first laid eyes on them. They are not red, because I found another red frame I liked better, but they are a Theo and they are mine. I also snagged a red Kirk&Kirk. A beautifully made frame, in an awesome red shade that is to die. So thank you Ryan, for the experience, I’ll be back soon!

Such a great shop. Huge selection of very cool and unique frames, and an expert staff who are always happy to help out. I can’t get enough. I’m a Spex addict.

Picked up my new glasses today and am very happy. Ryan and the staff are all so helpful and kind. You can feel the positivity as soon as you walk in the place. I will recommend this local business to everyone I know.

I cannot rave more about Spex By Ryan. I have been very lucky to have Ryan help me with picking out the perfect glasses for many years now. He and his staff are the best in the city and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. They are beyond patient and will spend as much time as you need to get that perfect look.
