I just went to sharpen two pairs of scissors for fabric cutting. He was very professional. He removed rust and sharpened them both at an excellent price. His craftsmanship is top class. I have very satisfied with his service! If there are any designers reading this who need to get their scissors sharpened, he is the man to go to!

Very fast service and fantastic job. A truly skilled craftsman. My knives feel like new. Price is very reasonable considering the quality of the work. I'd highly recommend you give him a try.

If you want to restore your kitchen knives to razor sharpness and precision look no further. M. Brunet is a master in his craft and very reasonable in what he charges. I have tried many sharpeners in Montreal for my kitchen knives and I'm sticking with M. Brunet!

Did a great job sharpening my kitchen knives, they're as good as new! Was careful and courteous. Would definitely recommend. NB: The address in google is incorrect, when you call he'll tell you the right address on Hochelaga.

M. Brunet is truly a master of his profession. He was able to sharpen my antique razor blades expertly and quickly. He's the kind of expert you can really trust with valuables and irreplaceable antiques. His prices are very reasonable and he's just generally a really nice guy - I would completely recommend him for whatever it is you need sharpened.

Brought my Chinese duck slicer cleaver here to get sharpened. My simple sharpening came to 15$ and he was able to do it on the spot, lucky me! You do have to call ahead though as he works out of his home and may not always be home. Speaking of which, it's residential, with vignette but you'll be able to find a spot and park and run in and out. I don't know if he would do specific angles you asked for (like Japanese knives) and to my knowledge it wouldn't be with the delicate finesse that typical Japanese knives require and the owners of Japanese knives like, but if you're not finicky about that stuff then you're good here. I'll personally bring my Japanese knives to other specialists because I like the refinement and steps that goes with that but that's me personally. I saw another reviewer bring their Japanese knives and they were satisfied. He has a wet stone rotating type of machine that goes slowly, old school and nonsensical. He's francophone so you'll need to speak French, friendly, bring cash (no e transfer). He's got 2 rooms he works out of for wood or metal and does small repairs for furniture or pots as well.
