★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reasonably priced considering the large portions (~20-25 per plate). Could easily share a dish and appies. A few vegetarian options. Server was really nice. Liked the dolmades and lamb. The pina colada was too icy and chunky. Calamari appy was a lot, but small pieces so mostly tasted like batter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time to dine at Sparta. To celebrate a birthday. The owner Natalia (sorry if misspelled) was most graceful. The food I ordered beef souvlaki, was cooked just right. The pita bread served was very fresh. Overall, the food ordered was very tasty! If you’re in Coquitlam and hungry for Greek food, go to Sparta!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Want to start off by saying the server was great and this has nothing to do with them and the service. Went there around 630 and ended up waiting an hour and a half for any food to come out. We wanted to leave an hour into waiting but we we’re hopeful that it would be out any minute. We saw so many takeout and skip orders leaving too while we were waiting. When the food eventually did come out, it was so bland and tasted like nothing. The server felt so bad she offered to buy us a desert but we just wanted to get out of there. Kitchen really needs to figure out what they’re doing because it negatively affects the servers and their tips which is unfair. I understand things happen and kitchens get backed up but they should’ve been prepared for a day like mother’s day and figured it out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A welcoming environment with delicious food served by warm, attentive staff. The saganaki, dolmades and calamari stand out as appetizers. The lamb is exceptional and the distinct flavour of the Greek-style potatoes prove that the kitchen staff know what they’re doing.

My favorite so far is the Roast Lamb. The calamari is also excellent.
The service is very prompt and courteous. Oh and the pizza is awesome too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on all the good reviews, we decided to try this place. Ordered 1 medium Hawaiian and 1 medium Meat lover and calamari. It was just okay for us. Our bill came to $70 . If I'm paying that much, I expect to at least enjoy my dinner.
Calamari had bitter taste ,like the oil was probably old or they have been using the same oil over and over. I don't think we will go back again. Sorry :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just wanted to come on here to write a review to say how fantastic the service is here at Sparta Empire Pizza! The girls who work there are so kind, genuine, and overall great staff. The food is always so filling with such large portions, and steaming hot! I always walk out of here super full!! Overall, I would like to give this restaurant a 10/10 as everything was fantastic. From the appetizers, to the drinks, to the main course I throughly enjoyed everything. The restaurant itself is extremely clean, and has lots of beautiful detail such as lit candles, and music.
I will for sure be back, and would recommend this place to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Take out was a great choice on a rainy day. Beef souvlaki, veal parmigiana, bbq rib, seafood alfredo were more than enough for 4 people. Enjoyed it very much and likely to visit more often if they open during lunch hour.
