★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be advised that this is NOT the same chef or menu from pre-pandemic times. I do not want to denigrate the place, but I must emphasize that if you are looking for the menu and the female chef that had been there for years before the pandemic hit, you will not find her or her menu anymore. And yes, I am talking about Restaurant Soy at 5258 St Laurent Blvd.

I do not recommend for anyone this horrible experience 30$ of regrets

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners have changed. Same menu but different aromas and the taste is really not the same. For years ,this popular spot was an Asian restaurant with a modern , exquisite subtle tasty cuisine.
My friends and I found that the salmon lacked, ginger, garlic. Very plain fare now.
Not the same vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered pad Thai and General Tao. The Pad Thai was so spicy that i didn't eat it and the general tao had barely chicken in it. Not what it used to be before. I just read that there are a new owners, they should change the name, it doesn't reflecte what it used to be before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t know what people are saying the general Tao chicken is amazing. The chicken is real and juicy and you can tell it’s made in house. Most other places use frozen pre breaded bag chicken, they don’t here. Amazing flavour!
