About Southview Alliance Church
Founded in the 1880s, The Alliance Canada is committed to Jesus and his mission. We are a group of approximately 440 local churches in Canada, and we send people to live on mission locally and globally.
The Alliance Canada grew out of the vision of Rev. Albert Benjamin Simpson, who was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 1865 and became the pastor in one of Canada’s most prestigious pulpits. During the next number of years, the Holy Spirit revolutionized his life, making him more passionate for neglected people and people living in poverty at home and around the world.
This passion to draw people into the fullness of life in Christ, both locally and globally, is what unites the churches of The Alliance Canada.

The preaching is so true to the Bible, and, frankly speaking, I love the home week-tasks the preachers are giving. It does make me, at least, reflect on the topic the whole week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed going to this church until they went way too overboard and above and beyond what they needed to do with their C-19 protocols. They stopped trusting in the freedom of their own people and chose control over common sense. Very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far I am very satisfied with the church. They are very polite. The teaching is very good. I love the preaching, it looks compatible with the Bible. They teach several historic content and are very committed to the Bible and even to respect other religions when they say something about them. The library is big enough, in my opinion. The people are kind. They have several opportunities to people to volunteer. The music is great. I love going there every weekend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Southview is a wonderful church community! The preaching is Bible-focused and biblically sound, and done in a way that is practical and clear. (Pastor Clyde is an exceptional speaker, and the other pastors are great, too.) You’ll often hear the pastors reference our mission of “to lead as many as possible to passionately follow Jesus” - this informs everything the church does. I appreciate the financial transparency and the openness about how decisions are made. Additionally, there are many opportunities to get involved beyond attending Sunday services, such as joining a small group, volunteering, or attending one of the many discipleship or community hub sessions. There’s a nice mix of ages here: kids, teens, young families, middle aged folks, and seniors. Beautiful, clean facility.
